They were then shown evidence that it indeed was true not bollocks.
They then had to backtrack, admit they were wrong and it was true.

I don’t disagree with a word of this but I think we’re in a position now where. I simply don’t believe that type of candidate is readily available to us (for a number of reasons) and of the names I have seen bandied about au don’t think they’d be any surer a bet than Murty.

throwing something else into the mix - hindsight. Every one of those managers we know has gone on to be successful. Unconsciously Murty will be judged badly simply because he hasn't done that.

Interesting that in recent times we had many managers that won the title in their first season . Just off the top of my head , but I reckon you must be going back to Jock Wallace back in 1972/73 who didn't , but then went on to do so .

Nope. We have no access to emergency loans*. It’s only teams outside the top flight who can loan players outwith the transfer window. Even if we could get one, it would need to be someone currently playing in Scotland as FIFA don’t allow the transfer of registrations between FAs outwith the transfer window. 
*with the exception of a goalkeeper with SFA and SPFL approval iirc

That isn't the response of a team that has given up on the manager, or a manager who has lost the dressing room.

If they can prove it's come from they board/club's PR team they'd have a very good shout but that's much harder than it sounds.

Unless they can categorically prove a breach of the clubs disciplinary procedures, they cant just suspend him. IT would leave them wide open to a potential constructive dismissal claim.
