Shock horror. Ex celtic players in pandering to celtic fans. That's the main reason they have a column. Nobody would give a fuck if they hadn't played for them. That's why papers tend to hire ex-Rangers and ex-celtic players. Ours pander to us, theirs pander to them.

I've no idea what Ferguson's ghost-writer says on his behalf. McCulloch's columns are normally woeful - mainly down to the Evening Times insisting on taking one decent length column and trying to break it into three different ones to boost numbers.

Truth is there are no guarantees the source is correct, whether it’s deliberately misleading or simply by misinterpretation/hearsay.
So, there might well have been a source, just not an entirely reliable one?

If you look through this thread somebody put on a headline when Defoe signed for Bournemouth and it was £130,000 pw 
even if we are paying £65,000 a week over 18 months what’s that, can’t be arsed counting so I’ll guesstimate it’s something like 3m+ in wages
the reason we could afford it is because there isn’t a transfer fee
if we paid Bournemouth 1.5m to buy him and gave him £30,000 pw it would be more or less the same outlay
and where I think we’ve played a blinder compared to signing him out right, Bournemouth have a recall option in the loan deal which they’ll realistically never activate but I’m assuming that also means if the move doesn’t work out we can cut our losses on Defoe at each transfer window and send him back to Bournemouth 
my instinct on the deal is Defoe will do us a turn and it will be a successful 18months

My money would be on Josh Windass.

The thing that pissed me off the most was the constant claims that RM gave a platform to pro-Ashley/Anti-King viewpoints and "propaganda" exclusively.
As I said on FF, rightly or wrongly RM gives everyone the chance to display the best or worst of themselves which is the exact opposite of being strictly moderated in favour of one viewpoint or another.
