  1. Can’t see them crumbling to be honest, they’ve got more about them then we have. Their strikers have struggled all season yet as a team have scored more than us all season, bearing in mind we’d have to beat them twice when we haven’t beat them in the last 8-9 games is a big ask. i think it will finish with us around 5 behind unfortunately, we just don’t have the squad to win 8/10 with the hope of them dropping points
  2. Used to watch Boyd lashing them in during the warm ups from outside the area. In the actual game you’d never see it.
  3. Terrible referee- mind you nearly all of them are terrible. I wouldn’t be as paranoid to question the professionalism though. It is possible for people to not support anyone and if footballers regularly score against boyhood clubs then I’m sure refs can go against boyhood clubs aswell
  4. No chance given we have inconsistent players. As much as we always blame the manager- some of our players are just not good enough. It will take atleast the summer window to close the gap and then that depends on who we keep and buy and also what they do in the summer. Walter wouldn’t totally fix our current squad- we might have lost less games but we still wouldn’t be much closer to Timothy
  5. Over the course of his second stint in neither happy or sad to lose him. Showed up in some games as a demanding center back and other games showed up like a clueless diddy. Good luck to him in the states
  6. Too early to tell.. looks ok, good with the ball at his feet but he needs a run of 10-12 games before we see his real talent
  7. Nothing wrong with what he says. Lennon took over from Mowbray and improved some of the players straight away albeit getting embarrassed by Ross county in the semi final. Took us all the way in 10-11 and that’s with us under Walter. to be offended or bad feeling towards murty for the comments is pretty pathetic really. Do we honestly expect a professional wether we think good enough or not to be pure staunch and not have anything that remotely resembles green in their lives and always look at things through Rangers specs? Gutter journalism and an absolutely gutter OP.
  8. We only lose the support of young kids- simply because kids get all excited of Man City or whoever splashing out 50 odd million on players. They all want to support or watch winning teams and when we turn in some dreadful performances it can be hard to keep them interested. My boy always had Rangers kits and has been up a few times with me but only ever seemed a fleeting interest. Now after seeing the fans reaction to that semi final win and big clints equaliser does he know what Rangers actually means. The demotion and bad propaganda did make us unappealing for kids but I’d expect the next 5 years will get us more inherited fans back from watching premier league football
  9. Murty will be in charge next season. But aslong as Jason holt and windass are perennial starters then it wouldn’t matter the manager as we’d still get humped by the lesser sides. Our personnel should be good enough beat those sides 9/10 which is why we used to have 20-25 year records. Even Walter only talked tactics against the top teams and Europe as more often a moment of greatness would win us games.
  10. Won’t see it for a while. Can’t think why some folks thought we were capable of pulling in the tims by may either. Deluded
  11. Too many sound bites of what needs doing. We all know what needs doing but no one is doing anything about it. The only way we can challenge the tims is to and I hate to say it but contact Walter. No other manager under our constraints will challenge tims
  12. A sensible answer can I not depend on what happens between now and the summer. Finish infront of the sheep and start winning consistently then I’ll be happy for him to get a 2 yr deal. If it stays as it is then he can go as soon as the season is done
  13. I’ve yet to see any evidence that this manager will be great. So far we’ve not performed as a Rangers team should. In the 2 previous hibs games they dominated the midfield yet for 45 mins murty couldn’t tweak it here or there to counter their 5 in the middle. Again asking holt to be defensive is asking for trouble, a lot of his subs are as predictable as warburtons were. I’m all for supporting the manager but saying he will be great is quite a bold statement
  14. Aye the mentality is weak, I said if we sold Morelos then we’d be 3/4th place come end of season- we’ll probably finish 3rd again anyway given the sheep win the majority of games outwith us and celtic. We’ve beaten Aberdeen soundly 3 times and if we win our game in hand we’ll still be behind them. We’ll lose our next game as that’s the teams trait under murty in both spells. Losing 2 in a row then winning 2-3 then losing again. Fucking rank and fucking embarrassing
  15. The only reason we looked to be holding on was due to lack of finishing and 1-2 good saves from county’s keeper. It looks to me that we as a team decide on how tough or easy a match is going to be. There’s been plenty squads throughout this clubs history that have 1 week scored 4 and the next been gritty in a 1-0 win or 2-1 wins. Lots of Walters games were won 2-1 by going 2 up then sitting back. It’s frustrating but it’s also another away win 8 matching last years total and another 3 points. The positives of getting in good scoring positions outweigh the negative of sitting back and soaking up pressure. I don’t think we can be too harsh on the subs as if jack or mcrorie are fit then they’re on before Halliday, you could say it was down to a lack of options.
  16. Wilson wouldn’t move if he was happy at Rangers, obviously asked his agent to get him a move to the states and if his missus wants to go there then that’s where he’ll go. no one knows the ins and outs and you can’t berate the guy for going now if it’s for family reasons, maybe when he left hearts she wanted to go back but he got offered a contract with us. He’s had some good games aswell as bad, hope it goes well for him
  17. Take away his taigy family loyalties and with the correct tactics he could be an asset away from home when sides more likely will attack that bit more at us. does anyone here also think that he’d forego a league or cup winners medal so the scum would win it instead? He’s a professional player and like many he’ll play against teams he’s supported or his family supported. I admit his body language at times looks unhappy but when a club/manager goes all out to sign you and then hardly plays you or plays you in a totally different system that just doesn’t work then it’s easy to see why he looked unhappy. if he never wanted back at ibrox then he would ask his agent to sort a move out or is he only here to leak stories and line ups to the media and celtic ?
  18. The only problem Ally has is he likes to be everybody’s pal. I’m not going to type about his salary in division 3 cos tbh why would anyone take a pay cut without being asked and also the club could afford it. The Rangers job gives pressure like no other wether that’s against part timers or celtic and the sheep. The main thing with McCoist is his severe lack of managerial ability and the way he talks about what the fan base would be happy with like mike Ashley etc. Practically another Jim white
  19. Having not had a manager for 6 weeks and seemingly no plan, as soon as it was known they wanted mcinnes then I was all for it. He could’ve been good or really bad for us but we’ll never know.
  20. The guy is a work horse and is doing a good job, the way he tracks back and without giving a lot of fouls away has to be commended. The guy is constantly up and down the pitch and is good at pressing the opposition and forcing mistakes. his thru ball for Morelos was well worthy of a goal
  21. In every game defenders will make mistakes- even the best ones. Bates right now is a decent center back for Scottish level anyway. Could he be part of a title winning side? He could certainly play a part but we’ll need to judge in the summer wether or not he’s improved enough. I like his no nonsense defending, it’s quite refreshing
  22. So far under murty we’ve been really good at everything or really shite at everything. The last 2 defeats ill put down to the players s they were under the impression mcinnes was taking over. Anymore of these double defeats and we’ll have to think twice about giving him a longer contract.
  23. New deal with a release clause and I think he’d sign it. Let’s be honest and if any club offer 9-10 million for a Scottish based player then it’s a no brainier to sell. Good player and barring injury will without a doubt finish top scorer
  24. Out of any players recently brought back only kenny Miller has proved it worthwhile, sadly he’s done now. But for some reason a lot of ex players think we should automatically look to other ex players because they’re available. now did I want Rangers to go after Naismith? No. And not just because of that statement- what’s he done since leaving us? He had a good run in moyes Everton side and that’s it, he’s since lost his Scotland place and has spent a lot of time on the sidelines and you would have to ask why the 2 managers who’ve signed him for Everton and Norwich haven’t bothered about taking him to their new clubs.
