Jamie0202 got a reaction from demise in Dessers
The least of our problems. If the other forward areas could contribute even slightly we might have actually won this league. I always want better in every position including striker but there's other areas of the pitch that need prioritised first. It's actually frightening when you go through the team one by one starting from the back and realise the number of areas we need to strengthen. It's more or less a full rebuild.

Knowing us half the players would go down with thigh injuries.

I'm absolutely clutching at straws here but hopefully he plays and gets match sharp in time for the cup final. Based on the weekend's performance we need all the straw clutching we can get for that game IMO.

Signing robust players that are approaching or at peak physical condition might be a start as well.
Clearly the technical standard up here isn't great, but playing for us up here is physically demanding. Teams go hell for leather against us, and you need to play a lot of football.
Far too often we sign players who have injury records, are past their physical peak.
Its not the only problem, as they still seem to drop like flies, but we need to be looking at a different profile of player.

Sterling doesn't seem the type to down tools and Souttar got injured on Saturday. Lawrence I'm not sure about but has always been injury prone in his time with us.

Jamie0202 reacted to .Williamson. in Collum
Kenny Miller actually had a rant about that during the game
Kept asking why Collum can’t just talk to players and everything has to be shouted at them as if he’s constantly raging

Jamie0202 got a reaction from jintybear in John Lundstram
Peña tae. Blew his nose on our shorts after he left us IIRC.

Jamie0202 reacted to McEwan's Lager in John Lundstram
All your post highlights is that Lundstram was out of control.
He's dived in studs up at a significant pace and Johnston has time to adjust and shield the ball as any normal footballer would. Lundstram then can't do anything to avoid the challenge because of the way he's committed.
He's hit him high, studs up on the calf, at a high speed. It's a possible leg breaker or something that can do knee ligaments. It's an absolute, textbook, stonewall red card and monumentally stupid. Ticked all the boxes of reckless and endangering the safety of an opponent.

Jamie0202 got a reaction from Rowley Birkin in Welcome to Rangers, Philippe Clement!
I wish people would stop saying this. Sterling might be the answer to our problems in centre midfield but it's a huge maybe. As it stands he's had about 5 games there and been good rather than great. He isn't even getting the nod in centre-mid at the moment even though Lundstram's form has fell off a cliff for months and Diomande isn't looking great either. Before someone says he's needed on the right no he isn't. Central midfield is a more important position than wide forward and we have options in McCausland and Wright who can play there and create just as little as Sterling (I'm aware he got the assist for Dessers' goal yesterday but in general terms he doesn't create a lot).
I like the boy but right now he's clearly a utility player with a lot still to prove.

What I'm saying is after Postecoglu brought in the first batch of players, guys he no doubt knew all about and had been in his mind as potential signings. They signed 4 players in that first batch, Kyogo, Maeda, Iduguchi and Hatate.
Since then Oh, Iwata, Kobayashi, Yang and Kwon have came in from the far east, and none of them have done much.
Basically they've signed 9 guys from the far east at £14m spend - and 3/9 have been a success.
Their scouring the globe has plenty of duds signed too. They are better at unearthing gems and tbh looking through Wiki - Postecoglu had a generally good transfer record. However Rodgers this year.....
Holm £2.5m
Tilio £1.5m
Yang £2.1m
Nawrocki £4.3m
Lagerbeilke £3.0m
Kuhn £2.8m
Guts of £17m on guys who've done little. Who even is Tilio?

Jamie0202 got a reaction from SuperLeeMcCulloch in Todd Cantwell
I reckon you could be right about Cantwell. Souttar was injured as confirmed by Clement in his post match interview. Sky at the game got that one wrong for some bizzare reason.

Jamie0202 got a reaction from HG5 in Todd Cantwell
I'm not even convinced we have that much neat and tidy footballers. Even with 11 vs 11 today their midfield were passing round us in wee triangles like we weren't even there whereas we were incapable of doing the same to them.

The miracles/wonders nonsense needs put in the bin.
He did really well at the start and overall has done ok. Hampered by injuries but so were the two before him.
Fortunate it was Aberdeen in the final and not celtic, and he’s yet to beat them in 3 games. Never looked close to beating them.
Decision making for the past couple of OFs highly questionable.
The football over the piece has been shocking too.
Genuinely don’t think our options would be great if we went down a different route so we must back him, but it’s utterly mental to think he doesn’t deserve any criticism.
