  1. That "press conference"during our darkest times was like a kick in the stones.Whittaker never bothered me because we knew the jersey meant nothing to him,it was all about every penny he could squeeze from the club.We have employed plenty of moneygrabbers and will do so again,as we need the quality on the park.Naismith is a different ball game.He told us he was one of us,a supporter as well as a player, and we loved him for it.I`ve tried to put myself in his position.Look after number one etc.,but I could never,EVER put the boot in when the club was on it`s knees. If only he had said at that conference "as a Rangers man I am saddened that I will need to leave in order to protect my career, but I will transfer over,so that the club will get the greatly reduced transfer fee negotiated when I had to take a wage reduction for a couple of months" He would still be a legend. Now? I turned the radio off the other morning when he came on to speak about Scotland.Says it all. MacGregor? He used to be a good goalie for us,but he`s never in my thoughts now. Can`t get excited about watching any of them now.
  2. We now live in a Scotland governed by a party which is attempting to break the union.Wake up! They don`t like our flag, which many thousands of our countrymen died for.Loyalty to our Queen, receives mild lip service, and any vocal show of support for The United Kingdom is being suppressed.Don`t be surprised at events, just remember when this daft referendum is presented.
  3. I thought he was the best player on the park yesterday. The shift he put in was outstanding.Hope its not a guilt trip in advance of bad publicity,as I believe with the attitude he is now showing,he can get better.
  4. One of the many reasons I will be a Bear till I die,is our unstinting support for our Armed Forces. That a supporters club made the flag as a tribute, which obviously touched the family, that they maybe got some encouragement from the gesture, makes me proud of The Rangers Family.Looking forward to paying my respects at the game.
  5. Wallace is a quiet unassuming boy,and while I enjoy watching him play,I doubt he is the man for captain.I know Law is a newbie, but the drive he shows makes him favourite for me.
  6. Simon Cowell.Would need to change his name to Billy.
  7. Can`t believe Ally would have him in the team,if he admitted he`d bet against us,so I`m in the "innocent till proven beyond reasonable doubt guilty" camp.No Surrender Ian Black!
  8. He`s history now,let`s move on.Good player,never a legend.
  9. Best thing about today`s game, seeing Sandy back at Ibrox. The guy has been fighting for his life, and to see him raise the flag brought a lump to my throat big time.I was lucky enough to see Sandy grace the number 2 and 4 shirt.A tremendous player and a fine man.Don`t know his prognosis but I pray he`s on the mend.
  10. Correct me if I`m wrong, but was he asking the ref. to make a decision for the "penalty"
  11. thought he looked ok,and he is worth persevering with, but let`s not get carried away,Brechin were hardly menacing!
  12. I`ll be shocked if he`s still manager next week.Has accepted that we`re not good enough to beat Forfar, and blames everyone but himself.Send for Billy Davis noo!
  13. I have no doubt that Ally loves Rangers and is rightly is regarded as a club legend. His stewardship of the club through our darkest days makes him IMO the greatest ever Ranger. He has, and continues to be, well rewarded for his commitment and is a wealthy man. Considering the obvious bad blood between him and Green,I would not be surprised if he offers his resignation. If he does, will it be accepted? One of them has to go,the events of yesterday cannot be ignored.Personally, and it pains me greatly to offer my opinion,Ally has presided over one disaster too many and should be removed if he is not prepared to go.As far as Chuck is concerned,I have no axe to grind over what he said, but someone needs to tell him that his comments should be restricted to the boardroom. If Ally stays, more disasters are probable.
  14. Don`t think he`s needing told about the size of his mistake.Another boy who thought he was better than he is.Hope he enjoys anonymous mediocrity.
  15. Davie White,a gentleman,and a great human being.R.I.P. Davie,and thanks for the memories.
  16. Seems to have gone quiet since the "we want Zaliukas" story.IMO the inability to defend last season was embarrassing.Surely Ally is not intending to make do with Jig/Cribari/Perry for next season. We need a big dominating CH.Suggestions?
  17. I suppose it`s useless to say that as a fanbase we have class. That we will not lower ourselves to the level of the haters and those who spout bile.I know all the reasons why we should let them burn, but Scottish football desperately needs Hearts and goodness knows,we need allies. We have an opportunity here to do ourselves a massive and positive PR job,as well as helping our east coast feeder club.As far as Heart of Midlothian are concerned, there is one bear here who is prepared to help.I hope the game comes off.
  18. We`ve had some good players from Hearts.Alan McLaren,Sandy Clark,Neil McCann,David Templeton, and I`m sure a right few others that some of you will remember.Does this mean we`ll need to do our own scouting in Embra?
  19. If Spiers was half a journalist,he`d maybe want to ask serious questions. Why did HMRC reject our cva on a spurious tax claim? Why did the cabal want to strip us of titles on hearsay? Why did the SFA hit us with an illegal transfer ban? Please,as soon as you see his byline,STOP READING!
  20. If he stays fit,Daly will be a major player for us.He can lead a line, score and lay on goals.Clarke,Little and Templeton will be better players with the big man rummlin up defences. He is a decent CH too should there be a need for cover. So you lot who think he`s a waste,I`ll be looking for some humble pie on next seasons` forums.
  21. This is a real mystery.I worked with wee Traynor a few years ago.I can tell you he`s tough, witty and uncompromising. He was, until he joined us,Scotland`s best sportswriter. His strengths and talents seem to wasted at Ibrox, where communication with the lifeblood of the club,i.e.US seems to have gone into hibernation.
  22. Number 1,the great Jimmy Millar! Lucky enough to see him in his prime next to Ralphie Brand.Walter`s allm time favourite too.
  23. This is an example of the modern footballer.Money is all that matters.Never mind your long term career, there`s a shedload of dosh to be had in England, and if it doesn`t work out you`ve still trousered over a million.Problem is,you have to be good to last down there, and he isn`t nearly as good as he thinks he is.He couldn't wait to leave us,don`t want him back.
  24. I will say this only once.Do not react to this cretin`s scribbles.Do not give him the oxygen of debate.Do not read his articles.Do not believe anything he says.Do not buy papers that carry his excuses for journalism. Now who were we discussing?
