What delighted me was after we conceded the late penalty, we still continued to play the same way that we had been playing for all of the 2nd half.
No panic stations, no men behind the ball, no shitting the Bed and hanging on.
It was basically as you were lads.
    That was pleasing.

I actually think of all the Premier League teams Aberdeen are the only ones which give off a hint of not trying. The rest have either got a scalp or two over the years (like Livi, St Mirren, Hearts, Hibs, Killie) or just aren't good enough (Motherwell, St Johnstone)

To be fair though, the one season they were under pressure they folded and we won it. Every other season there really hasn't been any sustained pressure from us.
Their arses would collapse if they were 4 or more points behind us for a considerable period. Unfortunately, it's not something the scum fans are used to in recent history but when it happens I reckon they won't know what's hit them.

Aye they beat them at Parkhead in the 55 season and last season at Love Street or whatever it’s called.

Cyriel Dessers has been focus of the fans’ frustrations and there are countless posts, recycled blogs and social media comments about how he’s barely scored more than 10 goals in any season etc etc. This (mis)informs the wide spread opinion that he’s awful and as someone recently put it on RM…..’he’s utter dug shite’.
So I decided to look up his career goals and goal involvements v’s minutes played and compare these with the best Rangers strikers from recent memory and the results paint a rather surprising picture.
If we compare Dessers’ career tally with Alfredo Morelos, Kemar Roofe, Jermaine Defoe, Kris Boyd, Kenny Miller, Dado Prso & Nikita Jelavic he actually has the best career goal return and is the 2nd best when you include assists.
    The numbers are as follows:
Dessers = 139.45 mins per goal/101.5 mins per goal involvement
Morelos = 140.60mins per goal/100.02 mins per goal involvement
Boyd = 149.01 mins per goal/126.65 mins per goal involvement
Defoe = 164.61 mins per goal/138 mins per goal involvement
Jelavic =179.56 mins per goal/128.7 mins per goal involvement
Roofe = 203.95 mins per goal/142.77 mins per goal involvement
Prso = 211.11 mins per goal/177.18 mins per goal involvement
Miller = 219.07 mins per goal/162.48 mins per goal involvement
Dessers might not have the grace of Jelavic, the composure of Defoe, the speed of Miller, the aggression of Morelos, the memorable strikes of Boyd, the industry of Prso or the penalty box instincts of Roofe, but so far, in his career, he’s more prolific than all of them.
    Food for thought.
Now i’m not saying I’d choose Dessers over any of the others, but he’s clearly not shite if he has a better strike record than all of them.
So rather than pilling on top of him, let’s get behind the lad.
(Disclaimer: these figures are based on Transfermarkt career stats)

Given the week we have had I think we can/should cut the players a wee bit of slack in enjoying a win when many of us us (guilty as charged) feared the very worst going into an away game against a team that had been in very good form. Criticizing the players for celebrating a victory reminds me of a few years back when we finally put a victorious team together where it became fashionable for opposition fans to ridicule Bears for having the temerity to celebrate beating their teams, mainly due to the fact that they had become so used to us being so horrendously bad in previous years. They hated losing to us so much they tried to dress it up as something embarrassing for us to celebrate victory. Social media, hotlines and radio phone ins were awash with haters crying how much of a riddy it was for Rangers fans to wildly celebrate winning goals, especially the late variety, against their teams.
However I do understand where you are coming from in the grumpiness stakes, all of us are pissed off at what is happening, so a meh response initially to today's result is perfectly normal, however that result was very, very important today in the grand scheme of things. Had we lost today then the crisis would have spun out of control, as it is we have steadied the ship a little and bought ourselves a little bit of time to get the new Guy in and perhaps start to do something to piece together some sort of team from the bunch of misfiring misfits that makes up our squad at the moment.
After what we have been through so far this season, let us just enjoy the moment  and hope that it will be the catalyst for us to salvage something from a season that has begun to look like yet another write off.

I think we can say in hindsight David Murray did not end well for us...but if you look at his personality, he absolutely did not want to lose at any cost. He always wanted to be ahead of them, if they spent he would spend more (yes I know....), he always wanted to undermine them in any way psychologically (think what signing Johnstone did to them), he wanted to fight the SFA on out behalf....The softness at our club now and tolerance of average standards starts at the board. We have spent too much time bridge building and not enough time trying to become totally dominant in all respects. Too much low level bickering between low level businessmen when they should be working to attract serious international money into the club. They need to very closely scrutinise their own performance. Board members have put their money in which is fair, but thousands of fans have too and the mood is turning as ongoing poor decisions and lack of serious investment.

See that guy who messaged Watling he can actually fuck off too.
Messages the guy noising him up and baiting him like a keyboard hard man, right after the guy has just been sacked and then as soon as Watling tamely bites back he screenshots it and then probably starts sending it around his pals so it ends up doing the rounds on social media.
Fans talk about the standards being in the bin, but cunts who do shit like that for likes, attention and online clout are every bit as bad and need to take a long hard look at themselves.
