Welcome to member number 79 - Beaujolais

Beaujolais loves a bit of Culture, so when he saw that we needed £42 for the tickets for the Palace of Holyroodhouse visit, he chipped in enough to cover that. A cheeky little number, I'm sure you'll agree.
    Camarade, nous vous saluons!

Mohsni was not in the right, however Erwin was clearly the one who made the first physical move. Mohsni deserves his punishment, but the lack of punishment of Erwin is wrong. The game was brought into disrepute by his actions and those of Mohsni in retaliation, and indeed by the reaction of some of Erwin's team mates.

A Motherwell player started it. The Motherwell fans finished it. Let's lie down and blame Mohsni because we no longer want him and he is of no value. Yes he's a prat, but at least he stood up for himself.

The Hibs game is exactly what we need. We have a team capable of beating them, our team have the perfect opportunity to show us what they have to give. As far as I am concerned our season starts now- the past is past- the future is for the taking.

Personally like to wish Ally all the best.
I've never doubted his commitment or character, and know he wouldn't make this decision lightly.
I have no ill will toward him. Hopefully now we can all move forward as one.

Honestly think Miller is crying out for a decent partner. Wish he'd give him and Clark a wee run of games together.

No- Protests and Boycotts cause too much collateral damage and don't always achieve the desired aim.
Yes the Board should make the decision should Ally McCoist not make it himself- which would be the honourable option.
The writing has been on the wall for some time. This was a must win game- as it would have shown the present set up at least had the capability of winning the league. Today's result is further evidence that Ally McCoists leadership is not working. Therefore to have any chance of winning this league- then a managerial change is required now.
This is not about Ally Bashing or Ally Worshiping- this is about what is In the best interests of Rangers Football Club. Hopefully Ally will recognise it. If he does not the Board has to act. Failure to act quickly now, will I fear have dire consequences.

Ally McCoist should be judged on the present as a Manager and not on the past.
As a Manager he has benefited through both the shares he was effectively given and the remuneration package he accepted that was out of all kilter with where the Club was sitting financially and league wise at the time. This would perhaps be palatable (just) if he had shown he was capable of delivering. But he has failed to do that. Yes he took a pay cut (with caveats) but even that pay cut as drastic as it was still represents a level of payment that is worlds away from where we are.
Football wise his management has been turgid. Yes he gained the promotions. But what should have been spectacular was brutal. Achieved through Big Spending against teams that his personal salary would likely enough have covered their wage bill. The Ramsdens Cup performance was a disgrace.
He has the Club over a barrel. Simply as things stand it is very difficult for the Club to get rid of him and the rest of his assistants in our current financial situation. The Club is looking for a fresh cash injection. They would probably need a similar cash injection to fund paying off McCoist. Which brings us to Green. McCoist should be grateful to Green for effectively giving him the initial package that has placed him in such an impregnable position. Now the Club needs money Green is back (apparently in the picture) and our poor footballing performance is once again according to Ally- Greens fault.
FFS both these guys have profited hugely out of Rangers- they are the ultimate profiteering tag team. I agree with Ally on one thing- I too am sick of the side show. The performance on the side of the pitch is pathetic. Trying to blame yesterday's defeat on Green and bringing Sandy Jardines name into that argument was a leap of crassness far to far.
Is Ally McCoist going to be remembered as the man who bled Rangers dry. I sincerely hope not- because already I am beginning to have difficulties reconciling the great memories I have of McCoist the player with the man I see on the sidelines.

By God I will take the win. Plus we ended up with 11 players on the field. This was a must win game. I will also take a win on the same terms against Hearts.
But understand and feel the frustrations.

The difficulty we face as a support is that due to the process/ journey Ally McCoist undertook on his way to the Managers position- there is no evidence to suggest he is a good manager. However he has successfully gained promotion over the last 2 seasons. Albeit with some howlers along the way- and huge resources having been thrown at the team by the Club in way of remuneration packages. This is perhaps the reason for our negativity. It is a fear of failure.
This will be a tough season. We are now getting to the stage where throwing money at the team and outfundind our opposition will prove far more marginal an advantage. The Managerial role will become more and more significant. We cannot in all fairness criticise AMcC for preseason results. These are the games that he has to use to determine his strengths and perhaps more critically determine the areas of vulnerability/ weakness.
This season will start with a bang. It is going to be evident within a few weeks as to how the team are performing and whether or not they and the manager are fit for purpose. The least we can do for the time being is give them every support and show then the significance of the shirt they wear. I have significant doubts as to AMcC the manager- but very much want to be proved wrong. If he can win the league this year (with or without a Cup) I will be most impressed.

Beaujolais got a reaction from RockwellGers in Lee Wallace 900k bid rejected from Forest but holding out for 1.4 mill?
I would be very sorry to Lee Wallace leave.
But if leave he does for around the 1.5 million mark then Financially the Club is instantly in a stronger position, especially in terms of trading profit and loss. The Club and the team should not be so reliant on one player. This player is a significant asset. Our only significant asset and one who is currently in good health and form. This is a game in which prized assets can very quickly, through injury become both unavailable for selection and devalued. Whilst it has been great to see his loyalty to the club, and his performances on the pitch it should be said that at this point in time having a player of his calibre on our books is a luxury we do not need and cannot afford. I can see the argument that selling Lee is a short term option, however the Club has to comfortably survive the short term to be able to have a strong long term future.

Beaujolais got a reaction from allgers in Question for the fans holding this club back, i.e the fans still backing Mccoist
It is not as simple as the OP maintains.
Yes there is frustration in the manner in which some victories are earned, however the results recorded are impressive.
Yes we have a side that in financial terms should easily wipe the floor with our current weekly opposition. But this is football, and players are human beings, plus the off field problems and battles have not produced the most stable platform for McCoist to perform from.
Yes McCoist was a great player for us. Yes there is respect for his achievements. Yes that does give him more time. But the real reason he is still in a job is that so far he has achieved all that every CEO since Whyte had asked of him.
So for me, it's not the fans holding back the Club irrespective of whether they back McCoist or not. It is the fans who are keeping the Club alive during a very difficult time.
