It’s definitely calming down a lot Malky
Sadly Ally for the younger generation will always be remembered for the worst moments in our history .Thankfully I have the proud record of being at every game he scored against the scum “ live “
    27 plus 3
I told him this to his face years ago ,There is surely no one alive with this record .And I’m proud as hell to have that .With Ally always being my footballing hero on the park

Probably not but not because Rangers aren't a big pull, I just don't believe another manager would've been given those type of funds, Gerrard is a huge name and I think the board realise if they want to exploit his name they have to match his ambition.

Unfortunately that'll be what he'll be remembered for, there's a direct correlation between him having no goals against them and having no winners medals.

TBH I'd rather 14 than 12, that way we only play the diddy teams once a season at Ibrox which makes it more interesting, also two less league games gives us a bit more leeway in terms of Europe where i expect us to have at least 14 games a season minimum. It would also mean only going to souless grounds like Hsmilton, St Johnstone, County, once a year too unless they have a wild season.

Whoever threw it is a wank and deserves a kick in the baws, my biggest problem with this idiot is the fact it just makes sneaking in a wee bottle even harder, nae consideration for the rest so I've none for him

Total mismatch, hard to be overly critical when it's our seventeenth European game of the season but it's still a bitter pill to swallow, we did well in the second half but it always felt like Leverkusan could up the tempo and score anytime they wanted, bottom line is if we're ever going to give a team like that a game Morelos is absolutely pivotal to that, if played them in November we'd have given them a game but with him so badly out of shape and form it was infinitely more difficult.

I wouldn't be overly shocked they managed to drop 11 points, I'd be more amazed if we managed to win 9 games on the bounce.
Don't need to explain yoyrself though bud, doubt there's anyone on here who wouldn't love it

I pay absolutely no attention to our youth teams outwith finals against the tims that are on TV but I have noticed quite a lot of folk talking about this kid for a long time now, yesterday was the first time I really seen him.

He's some size of boy for a 16 year old, looks about 21, he's definitely got the physique and I wouldn't mind seeing Gerrard blood him into the team in the next 10 league games, give him a taste of it and thrn let him get back to the grind next season while we refocus on the League and if his orogression merits it we can look to bring him back into the squad which this time would hopefully be less daunting as he'd had 4/5/6 games under his belt
  14. eejay the dj liked a post in a topic by NixonRFC in Will it make a difference if we beat Leverkusen next Thursday?
That's the worst thing about it, when they won the four titles when we were in the lower leagues they were all gimmes, they meant fuck all, I know they won't feel that way or at least admit it publicly but it is what it is, only Rangers or them will ever win the title in Scotland and if one isn't in the league then it stands to reason the other one will win it.

But these last four years have been a disaster, after the semi win in 2016 I genuinely didn't think we were far off them, they looked slow and weary, I was optimistic about 2016-17 without being over confident but what happened, particularly in the first in last Old Firms ruined us, the next season was a slow joke too and they two pumpings off them at the end was sore, made to look like a Dunfermline or St Johnstone.

By the time Gerrard came in I was too cautious to expect miracles but I did expect a trophy and to see them take the lot again was pretty disheartening, this season was a no brainer, a trophy at the very least but I wanted the league and as the season went on I began to expect it, the fall off has been embarrassing and to be pumped out the Scottish in the midst of that was like some cunt just twisting a knife into a lifeless body, whether they go on to win another treble is by the by now, here's hoping they don't but its another year we've won fuck all, it's hard to watch, like you said it's no something that'll ever happen again so to think we're sitting through it and no even laying a glove on them while it happens is the complete opposite of anything I've ever believed about Rangers.

We would have taken it 3/4 seasons ago ,so many say mate .These last 5 years especially, have been the worst of the 9
At least in the first 4 .the scum weren’t much better and weren’t winning as much while we were away .We got the SF win and failed to win that final .
I would say this season and most definitely last season have been the biggest chances we’ve  had .To win silverware and  it still seems ,we are miles off
And letting the scum achieve something ,we will never match in our lifetimes,  makes it doubly hard to take .

Good point or just restrict the tickets for one set of fans .More likely

Firstly I'm going to say I don't think it's ever a bad idea to show your support for a manager when he's going through a hard time, we talk about loyalty a lot and the word loyal is synonymous with this Football Club, even guys I've lost all faith in like McLeish, McCoist and Caixinha, I've found myself urging them on in games despite the fact I've known their time was up.

The problem I've got with this Gerrard applause is how contrived it is, I've no problem backing a manager or player when it happens naturally or organically but organised support just feels so fake, you're then forcing fons to make a conscious decision and it can  easily devide folk.
  18. Howsitgoing liked a post in a topic by NixonRFC in Manager to take us forward, who?
How many novice managers can one club have in nine years, McCoist, Murty, Gerrard...Duncan Ferguson.

I appreciate you're thinking outside the box but I don't think we need to try and reinvent the wheel here, if we need another manager this summer I want an experienced manager who has managed at a high level for a number of years, one who is motivated by a grave challange and one who has a history of building good, solid well organised teams.
  19. SeparateEntityMyArse liked a post in a topic by NixonRFC in I give you James Tavernier folks... Captain
Read his comments, he's a complete coward, some or the best captains aren't always the best players but they are inspirational, whether he merited the armband or not is now irrelevant, he's had it for two years now and if he's still not inspiring anyone and when you read his comments you can understand why, he thinks like a loser, that is on him.

The pride wearing a Rangers armband should be enough to change his mentality, it hasn't and that's all on him.

I'll tell you what, you're actually no wrong, on pure numbers alone we are much improved and are a devloping team, we're a point better off than the tims were after the same amount of League games last year, we got to the League Cup final and played them off the park and conceded an offside goal from one of their two only chances and we're having the best run in Europe results baaed wise I can ever remember, even when we got to Manchester we weren't winning the volume of.games we have this season.

There's a lot to take from it, however Rangers is built on emotion, its that attachment thaymt keeps us going back year on year and this will be another year we'll end empty handed, the reason people feel so deflated is because the season offered so much hope and promise and yet it'll end with another season with nothing while that mob scoop up, knowing our luck this will be the year they finally have a bad afternoon and Aberdeen, Hearts or Hibs end up with the Scottish.

Literally you ain't wrong but it's the hope that kills you so I can completely understand why folk will be more disappointed this year than in previous years when our pride far exceeded our expectation
  22. HG5 liked a post in a topic by NixonRFC in Walter
I love Walter Smith, adore the guy  but I do think people often overlook a lot of negatives with him when it came to entertainment, he knew how to win and what it took to win, that was always evident and when we were up against it he was perfect, the problems (problems is the wrong word) would come when we were bang on top, we would be bored senseless with a lot of performances, don't get me wrong, I'd take that everyday of the week now if it mesnt we were successful but anytime we go through a bad spell these topics come up and I genuinely think people just erase the boring stuff from their memories when reflecting on him.

They've came in with so much fanfare and attention from England, particularly Sky and talksport I do thini they would be a bit ashamed/embarrassed if they came up to little old Scotland and didn't cut the mustered domestically, totally get where you're coming from though.
