No. If an attacking player encroaches, and a defending player doesn't, then its a retake if the penalty is scored, and an indirect free-kick if its missed (which it was) . So if no Hibs players had encroached, then Dickinson's decision would have been correct.
They did though, so it should have been retaken.

I don't even try to understand offside, handball or simulation/contact now, what's the point? And I thought jersey pulling was an automatic yellow? Seems to go unpunished most of the time.

He's nowhere near Alfie in terms of giving a defenders a hard time but they definitely don't get it easy going up against him. I don't know the stats but I reckon he robs the ball straight off the defender more than most of our previous strikers. He seems to do it at least once most games. 

He is on 17 for the season. He could easily break the 20 mark which Morelos only done twice in 6 seasons. He's extremely frustrating but not remotely the worst CF we've had in the last 10 years

I'd say I have a better grasp on the the laws of the game than most folk, without knowing all the nuances, but there are too many rules in football now where I am scratching my head on some technicality. 
I do work beside a (recently) former professional referee who refereed up to Scottish Championship level, so I'll be asking the question tomorrow.
