Few posters can't mind who but @STEPPS BOY comes to mind have hit the nail on the head, why are we playing 3 CDM against any team?

we are a far better attacking team than on the back foot we should be playing to our advantage and stop absolutely shiteing it.

I would only play two CDM when we play top quality teams, we've seen in games where JL plays on his own in that position Infront of the two CBs that we only need one against any spl team, you can understand playing two against the scum because they are the only team in the spl that can actually keep possession for any amount of time.

    Playing 3 is a joke.

That is the question I keep asking myself. To play 3 dms and then not even to go long ball when they were pressing so high it just beggars belief. I seriously question what gios tactics were.

Been saying this all too often.

It's sickening too that it's never just one player that's poor, for us its 8 or 9 at the same time again far too often.

We're stale, uninspiring, and with a serious lack of quality and style.

Worth noting he rested a large portion of the squad against QoS. I reckon that was a mistake. I dont think he trusts their fitness. We have a serious lack of energy about us. We have kept far too many players, goldson ,kent, morelos and are still not turning over players before they get stale.

At half time I expected a change of tactics- playing out from the back clearly wasn’t working, but we continued to persevere  until it cost us the fuck up with the last goal. That passing  back and forward in front of the box just gives me the fear, and surely GVB must have seen that second half was time to start punting it up to their half and at least trying to  get in their faces

Cause everyone expects us to play out from back regardless of how pressured we are   opposition know that they can pressure us there to make mistakes.

    Rinse and repeat.

Can anybody explain how we are able to turn in years of good results in European football now and yet fall apart in successive seasons at breezeblock boulevard? It must be a problem with the mentality because there's no way the soap dodgers are any better, never mind that much better, than the teams we have eliminated from Europe :ang:

The way gio set the team up in midfield today. Plus the scum have our slow system sussed.

That is  just social media brovado.  They were two points ahead of us and scoring for fun pre-match FFS

They are a good team in a diddy leauge. So are we though.

Our players fucked it big style today and made them look better than they are.

Our team owes us big time after that disaster but I ain't surrendering  our title hopes to the manky mob yet.

Agree with everything u say. Have said for a while tho we have a problem with our approach to the game in general.

Boyd said today why do so many teams feel the need to ay out from the back, even when under pressure? If we weathered that storm today for even 20 minutes in first half it would have been different. Kent giving the ball away and letting them run at us like that  is basic stuff.  Keep the fancy stuff for later in the game when they tired.

I think our other big problem today was central three.

It looked from the footage that Lundstram seemed keen to take one but it's impossible to be certain.

Kent's a fair point though. He was never taking one of the first 5 penalties IMO. Neither was Goldson and to be honest I don't think I would have wanted either to anyway. So in that sense we could have kept Sakala on who has taken penalties for his country. Lowry also another shout as mentioned by another poster.

That said you could be the best penalty taker in that world, be in peak condition and still easily miss a penalty in a game of that magnitude.

Yup Agree about Lunstram. Am convinced he wanted to take one.

It's always difficult to know who was asked and who refused ... perhaps it will come out in the days to come? I always always think if someone really doesn't fancy it it takes a brave manager to tell him he's taking one

At the time, I thought Lunstram looked like he was saying he wanted to take one. Think it was Tav he was talking to in front of the ref. Certainly looked like he was putting himself forward.

They’ve landed lucky with their manager, that’s the real reason. If he wasn’t there we would be champions or close to champions already.

Not sure about that. Did ange cause us the screw up against Ross country? Aberdeen lose to Dundee utd?

Repeatedly fire crosses in with no hope of getting to our players?

    No that's on us.

I think the same, he's direct, has a turn of pace and doesn't give up.

The downside is he is a pretty dreadful finisher. I think a lot of his goals are down to sheer luck.

If his luck holds who cares?
