We can’t go into another season with him anywhere near the squad. Him and Goldson need to be part of another clearout in the summer.
Agreed. The fact we re-signed goldson when no-one else wanted him is criminal. As for tav, there has been so many questions around him since 55, that is enough.

Had high hopes for Danilo but haven't seen anything yet, frankly. Dessers appears to have been Beale's number one target too, so I'm not sure he'll be giving up on him anytime soon.
May be heat of the moment but for me, it doesn't matter who Beale picks as ultimately they're still playing his non-existent system that produces absolutely nothing. We are chronically slow and lacking in imagination. Goals and results will not come, while that's the case, regardless of who he picks.
Second paragraph is the key for me. All these players cannot be shit. Pretty much a new middle three and top three and same results. Toothless and predictable.
Have little confidence there is actually an ideal vision for our game in the coaching teams head.

Matondo should have been on at 60 mins to stretch them not staring. Beale has fucked 2 games this week starting him. Ffs the 2nd half against PSV showed how matando should have been played.
Yup. Felt this as well both against osv and here. Dereliction of duty and thought as to what the other manager will try. Naivete in the extreme. His main benefit is pace. So play him when the scum are tired ffs.

Pretty sure that most on here already realize this but will say it anyway. We have virtually a new front line and still look as weak, toothless, mediocre as we did with the old one. The players can't all be shite. It is the way we use them ,especially, I'd as we think, the midfield is being sacrificed to make up for defensive frailties. Ditch the embellished 433. Go two up front.
For a team that is supposedly centre focused, we create so little through the centre it is brutal.

I vaguely remember walter doing it on occasion to cover injury or whatever. The problem is with beale it is systematic and has been at Rangers for a long time. If teaMs know that is our approach then they will take advantage.

As long as Tav is first name on a team sheet we aren't winning fuck all. His engine used to make up for a lot. He's slowing down hence him slowing gane down every chance he gets. This pish of having midfielders who's job is to cover him is a joke. Only player on park that has any freedom is him. Hate to say it but it's his time that should be up
Agreed. Occasionally he pops up with a goal but I reckon the two defensive midfielder pish is the make up for unreliable fullbacks.

Not sure about wage structure figures as our first team squad wages are far from what was quoted. Also no idea how much they can afford in transfer fees compared to what we can pay.
Was mentioned last night they also tend to bring youngsters thru their youth system and pitch them even in the big games. Forget who they were talking about.

Comical defending, a comical OG…Jesus, I thought I’d be somewhat over it today but the more I dwell on it the angrier I get. How can the same problems continue season after season and never get addressed?!
Boggles the mind.
Because we have the same three individuals in our back line, two of whom we also expect to tank up the wings and put in crosses.
Top that with since Warburton, we seem to have stuck doggedly to a 433 shape with a few embellishments on occasion. Not for us a three at the back or a flooding the midfield.

Apologies. Duplicate post.

Matondo on too early? He was the only one of the front three that offered anything for the first 60 minutes. If he wasnt on the pitch we would have had fuck all.
He would have been better on later when legs were a bit tired. We were not capable le of soaking pressure and hitting on break which I think was the plan. Biggest issue was midfield though.

Exactly. Never expected us to get through to the Champions League group stages and winning the league this season always had to be the priority.
True
Never expected us to fuck it up so bad tho.

Said to family before the game I was worried re the layout of the team. Middle three felt wrong. We were so ineffective in middle.
Matondo on too early as well.
-
Wish we had not started matondo. Would much rather bring him on for pace later in game. Biggest challenge is the middle three tho I think. Not getting much from cifuentes.

Finally
Matondo & Sima have definitely improved us.
Just shows the value of pace, people had been claiming pace had no effect against the diddy teams but it’s blatantly untrue.
As Beale has said we still need a Kent type though, pace combined with Skill/Trickery (Sima & Matondo only have the former) and ideally a bit better finisher than Kent.
Reckon We need pace for all games mate. Against the low block use the fast guys to pull people about. Obviously if we are ahead then the dross need to.come at us and pace comes into its own.

I actually think we're more toothless than last year. I don't even know how that is possible.
Sakala gave 100% effort and mobility and was improving.

It was Lundstrams throw in just because Tavernier fells he can overrule a player shows up his ineptitude in that situation by charging from the opposite side of the park to them play an idiotic throw in from a position of strength .
It highlights the ineptitude of him as captain he does similar with penalties the one and only game he lead by example was at the piggery with his goals and attempts whilst the forward line and team as a whole was inept that aside I'd take the. armband off him .
Neither him or Goldson are good enough at shouting and helping.players out of situations invariably self inflicted such is the tolerance of this idiotic style.of.play at Rangers it's become acceptable and opposition teams see it and exploit it .
A real captain would gave made himself available to receive the throw. Then take it forward. Not tav tho.

This nails it btw. I dont know what it is either, but something is fundamentally wrong at the club that is deeper than a manager.
Would venture no flexibility in approach regardless of manager. Not for us having flexibility of going two up front or having a target man approach when playing backwater dross.
Someone decided our formation and there is no moving from it. Gallussness coached out of players to fit the system I think.
