He's actually playing for his 5th permanent manager, all of whom bar beale so far failed to get to grips with the SPFL bar one season

He has two proper winners medals to his name in 7.5 years and is probably going to be the least successful Rangers captain since the late 70's maybe, he's also played all they games and watched our rivals rack up 8 trophies in the time he got 2

He's part of a loser mentality group we have that all need cleared out

That last sentence  is on the bullseye.

This is the key part for me.

This squad has been together now for 4 seasons under 3 managers. At the end of last season most of us on here felt it was time for big changes and fresh blood. The europa league run was this squad at it's peak.

It didn't happen but. Even with the business we did. We are still reliant on the same core of players. A core that is stale and run thier race.

We simply have to begin building a new side. It needs to start now.

Agree with all of that. Don't know why gio/wilson did not see the age and injury prone trends in our squad before now.

Alfie just needs a run of games and to work on his fitness. He hasn't suddenly become shite.

People are talking like he's morphed into the second coming of Carlos Pena 🤣

The problem is he is so high maintenance to manage. So give him time to get fit , he MAY just do that. He may not though. Not a sound risk to take for what will be another temporary, fleeting good spell if at all. We need to move on from Alfie, tav, the unfit guys etc. Lower the average age of the team as well.

Our 'tactic' really is just get it wide fire crosses in. It's boring and unacceptable that that's all we offer against teams like Livi.

No noticeable patterns of play to get excited about or enjoy.

This. I for one am fucking sick of it. The thing is tho I have felt the above was our approach since Warburton for lengthy periods( champions season aside).. Very little threat comes through the middle, we don't soak up pressure and break. We all know that when matondo or whoever gets to break he will stop about a third into the opposition half and its back to fancying about across our back line.

    Disgusting.

Seen better Rangers teams (and managers) get hammered in Champions League.  This 'aint Europa and we are not very good.

We may have expected to battle and maybe get some credibility, but we will probably get nothing except the ride and the cash. We overachieved getting here, but we are gonna be spectators in these games I fear.  Scum have had these pumpings last few years and they have spent bigger than us.

Agreed. Tonight is not the sore one for me. That was Saturday.

Although there  is incredible weakness and lethargy in our play now. The management team need to make changes (even small ones) to give players perception that things should be better.

The young guys are the obvious change for me.

Ive been saying that we create far too few clear cut chances for a long time. Thats due to tactics and we get away with it in most of our domestic games as we are up against absolute dross, but in games like the weekend and today.. it really shows. Its because we have no real way of playing. No patterns of passing.. players dont seem to be making runs / moving for each other. Way too static. Its hard to create chances against teams that get so much time to get organised..

    This 100%
