If he doesn't sign a new contract he is leaving for free. If the board have offered him as much as they can and he chooses not to sign it then fair enough.

Regardless we're a much better team with him in our squad. Major player on our europa run and without him we wouldn't have got that result away to Dortmund. He's the only player in the team that will have you on the edge of your seat, yes he can be frustrating but I'd definitely keep him rather than losing him for free.

His performances are consistently good. The team constantly look to get the ball to him. Never hides on or off the ball and his output in terms of workrate is consistently good.
Assists are good and without raking through goal by goal it seems like he's involved in the majority of our goals even when not credited with the assist, with good pieces of play and the pass before the assist e.g. the cup semi equilizer, Colak's second v Hibs, many of Barisic's assists etc.
Although he's scored some screamers, his shooting/finishing is shite and that's really the only thing he can justifiably he called out on.

We need quality pure and simple. Start with a goalkeeper, then another midfielder who is aggressive/energetic who can play, wingers and a quality striker.
