Jomacbe 10
What a difference these two make in our midfield. The energy and pace is something to behold, makes last week all the more baffling. SeparateEntityMyArse 53,810
Thought that was Cantwells best game for us. Raskin did lots of good but was too sloppy at times and appeared to tired quite badly. Docspawn, Leftpegcoopz11 and gmcf
Popular Post AGM_72 3,649
Raskin was good first half, poor second. Cantwell was the best player on the park by a mile. Wednesday is a big test for him though. CR3, Real Ranger, hammer93 and 5 others
Blue Viking 702
I was over the moon when we finally got Raskin - wasn't too sure about Cantwell, but sounds like we have 2 wee fighters here ! Build a team around these guys and then we are cooking with gas !
Leftpegcoopz11 4,767
If Beale wants to play the style he's alluded to when he came in he needs more players like them. Too many of our team are stuck in their old ways, sideways passing with no movement off the ball/creating space. They seem to struggle with the concept we now have two players that want to pass and move, so can't read their runs, and aren't on their wavelength. Raskin is probably 2 weeks behind Cantwell in match fitness/sharpness and it did show abit today, but could still see the way Raskin wanted to play. Cantwell was non stop whole game, and grafted his arse off. For a slight built player he isn't too scared to try get stuck in, and some of his one touch pass and move was quality today. Raskin definitely needs to get his fitness levels up - looked knackered in the second half - but played well in the first. Definitely Cantwell’s best game. Popular Post bluenoz 30,944
And throw in Tillman and you have the beginnings of a good team. I'm not buying into the theory it's Tillman OR Cantwell. Play them both and make it work. bluenose48, KeyserSoze, Bad Robot and 5 others
CoplandStandBear 995
Raskin played well in the first half but kept giving it away in the second half and faded quite badly. Cantwell looked creative and confident on the ball with a few nice flicks and link ups. Jomacbe, graeme_4 and BlueAvenger

the brown brogue 1,910
Could see Raskin getting visibly frustrated with the shite around him and lack of intelligent movement up front. Cantwell looked as full of running at the end as he had at the start, unlike some of the plodders we have strolling around the park. In an ideal world these two would be the only players from today's starting lineup in our first choice 11 for next season, unfortunately there's zero chance of that being the case. Blues Brother 1,115
1st half both were excellent. Biggest compliment is they made the rest of the team look decent. Cantwell has good movement and his passing is joy Leftpegcoopz11

I think Yilmaz might help with that if he replaces Barisic, and might be more a link up, quick one twos type of player that comes inside a wee bit more. As for Tav, really has to up his game. Seen Cantwell high up looking for one twos off him, and he can't read them at all. falkirkNS, Jomacbe and Bad Robot
WWTC 2,247
It’s baffling to me that despite watching that game today people still think Raskin shouldve started last weekend. He looks a cracking player but he’s miles off the pace and that was evident today. Jasper Blues and Hadron Collider

He's in our best 11 even though he looks nowhere near match fit. Leftpegcoopz11 and Hadron Collider
King Jela 20,378
Jack too. All 3 of them linked up brilliantly in the first half and it made some difference. 2nd half obviously a different story but the game was done. No idea how Cantwell wasn't MOTM. graeme_4 and Fred H Crawford

Obviously faded and was man marked in the 2nd but still miles ahead of Lundstram and certainly Kamara.
graeme_4 34,624
Both were very good first half, and then Raskin faded a lot second. Few shocking passes. Just need to get him up to speed. Leftpegcoopz11, Tiger Shaw and ayro
