There will be a time for the tactical subtleties of a French or Dutch coach but, right now, we need an arse-kicker, a sergeant major to explain to these impostors in Rangers strips, in the most basic agricultural language, just exactly how far they are from being close to acceptable.

    Correct, put brilliantly.

His histrionics, combined with the reaction of a couple of Them who were in the pub last night really did make the effort to go out worthwhile. From delirium to despair in 60 seconds, delicious to behold. Little did I know that it was going to get even better 10 minutes later, how I managed to restrain myself from an inadvertently loud comment on the situation at full time is beyond me.

The image of that prick holding the shirt will be the subject of a few Memes in the coming days methinks.

Exactly why is he holding the shirt up?

I'm okay with Rae being involved, I'm in danger of sounding like a dinosaur here but I think we need real Rangers men back in the building, maybe not at the very top of the managerial tree but we lost a bit of what makes us who we are when Jimmy Bell died and I don't think that's been replaced.

Add to the fact that Davis and McGregor left the building at the end of last season too and there's no more Walter Smith about the place and John Greig doesn't get around the stadium as often anymore either, then there's a big gap where true Rangers voices can let the players know what's expected of them.

I'd like to think Alex Rae can provide that at least.

Seen the wee clip of them at the airport and when I seen Alex Rae boarding the plane I thought "I'm so glad that staunch wee man is there"

So how would going out of Europe, sacking gio and signing another dud manager have been good for us in the long run.

The euro final just like 55 was an opportunity missed to use the feel good factor and kick on but anyone saying reaching a major final is a handicap is seriously bonkers.

It papered over cracks and bought extra time for a failing manager and players we've been saying for years are serial losers.

Things were kicked down the road after Seville and have cone hone to roost.

I know you are, I'd say you are a bit beyond confused but.

    A bit beyond pissed off!

Ignoring the ridiculousness of your downplaying that run, what help to us now would going out to Dortmund have done

    Fucking hell

We might have pulled the trigger with GVB 9 months earlier.

You said you wished we didn't make a European final which is a fucking moronic thing to say.

To even argue it is worse.

What did reaching a European final achieve and how does it help us currently? I'm confused...

  7. Can't be bothered tagging everyone who responded, but if quoting Seville makes you sleep better at night rip on.

The "we got to a European final trophy" does very little for me, and does nothing to negate the fact that this squad has and will continue to fail domestically.

It was sent to me and it made me laugh. Nothing personal meant in posting it.

Maybe my sense of humour is more dark today.

Post it again please I missed it I'm sure it was hilarious... and don't ever apologise or feel the need to justify yourself.

Why are you suggesting we can’t get past St Mirren?  And yes, exactly, it’s September and the league is over.

Because they are currently 2nd and 4pts behind celtic who are 1st...

Ok so no point continuing then, just hand your season ticket in cause it wouldn't matter if Pep came in clearly?

I want Beale gone too, (tonight ideally) but to suggest it's all over regardless is defeatist as fuck!

Sorry mate but that’s just nonsense.

    It's September!!!

St Mirren are 4 pts behind them are you suggesting if a good manager came in we would struggle to pass St Mirren over the course of a 38 game season?

The league is surrendered far too easy these days, I remember double digit deficits being turned around, I also remember when it was 2 points for a win.
