I’ll miss the confidence I had when he was facing a penalty. With Greegsy in goals I always felt a pen against us was a 50/50 shot to being saved.

In his second spell, I never imagined he'd be able to pull off the kind of saves he !did in his first!
I think some of his saves second time around were even better though! His save against Bremen is arguably his best ever. 
However, in the run to Seville, he probably made those kind of saves every round. Also, the double pen save v's Napoli,  Red Star at Ibrox, Christie at the piggery, Oduard at Ibrox. That double save against some cunts in the Europa, the last minute goal line save v's Prague, countless saves against the Scum! Arguably he was as good in his second spell as his first. 

After all the fuck ups signing injured players , Souttar is the one that pisses me off the most , everybody in the game knew it would turn out the way it has. Folk should have lost their jobs after that.

The actions of the last week have shown that anything is fair game. When the pontiff is to be replaced I'd be expecting the full works, banners, fireworks, effigies, beach balls, the full song book. If you're allowed to desecrate the head of the protestant churches and the head of our state, then anything is allowed.

The subs benches tell you everything you need to know  about our squad compaired to theirs. 
Their main striker goes off in the first few minutes and they've still got 3 established fan-backed forwards they can use. 
If any of our first team regulars get injured we end up having to fall back on folk we've already written off. 
Board fucked it by not spending money once we qualified for CL.

How many shite performances do we need to see to realise we do not have the personnel to play a 433 effectively and its painfully obvious. I have no idea why we keep trying to fit square pegs in round holes and to make things worse we have actively signed players and they still dont fit the system

The manager can do all the tactical work and game preparation, but the players need fight and desire before any of that counts.
My one question to Gio AND his backroom team would be, why is 3/4 of a brand new defence sitting on the bench and medical table!!

3 Ajax first team members players have reportedly went on strike to force moves. Anthony has signed this morning for Manchester United. 
Edson Alverez and Mohammad Kumus have now refused to train to force moves to Chelsea and Everton.
This all comes after Lisandro Martinez reportedly told the Ajax director of football Jordi Cruyff that he was "a fucking nobody" during negotiations to force a move to Manchester United earlier in July. 
Any further moves away from Ajax today may spell costly to the club after the Dutch FA admitted an admin error had assumed the European transfer window was shutting last night (August 31st), when the vast majority of European FAs had agreed to extend the window, meaning Ajax are now powerless to replace any potential outgoing players. 
Ajax kick off their Champions League campaign at home to Rangers on Wednesday, September 7th.

The amount of power players have these days is just crazy. A bit of a mess 1 week away from playing us. 

They did it for PSV game at ibrox 

They were 2 anomalies and if we are honest then we should have done much much better with the side we had in all other years we competed.  I love Walter and we were dominant domestically but besides those 2 campaigns we were very very poor overall.  
 
I remember Gothenburg smacking us 3-0, Strasbourg knocking us out the UEFA Cup (in a qualifier!) and winning both legs, AEK Athens beating us home and away in a CL qualifier, Auxerre beating us home and away, Kaunas knocking us out in a qualifier, Unirea (who?!) humiliating us at home 4-1.  I agree 92/93 would have been some achievement but it was really the equivalent of qualifying out a 4 man group in that format.  
 
Walter had domestic football completely sussed but he had some real disasters in Europe outside 92/93 and the Uefa cup run to the final.
