Scott-RFC 308
I watched the game but watching the highlights Edu looks our best player!
garycassidy1802 37
Hate to be negative but he has a poor first touch and takes too long to get a pass away, sometimes even gets us caught out
broxibear87 129
Seems to panic when in possesion, same could be said about all our CMs tonight though.
martyboy2009 11
Edu and mcculloch were both awful. They really don't offer the defence much protection at all!
TexasGers 96
Just finished watching the game, I thought Edu was solid- 6/7 out of 10. Some of the criticism is way over the top
rfc_watp 1,503
stop moanin ffs, edu was brilliant in CM. bring on valencia
Rohan 26
Better than Davis, McCulloch and Whittaker last night in my opinion. Did well driving forward when he had the chance
TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Edu was good tonight.People must be desperate to moan about something.
TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Edu and mcculloch were both awful. They really don't offer the defence much protection at all!Serious? We have played 180 minutes in the Champions League so far this Season and we have restricted both teams to long range efforts.McGregor hasn't had a save to make. dukestreetsoup 69
I love the guy but ive been getting increasingly anxious when he is on the ball over the past few games.he was the only player I had any real worries about last night about giving the ball away in a dangerous position.needs to be more aware of his surroundings, and take less time to make decisions. martyboy2009 11
I don't think the restriction of other teams chances is down to lee or edu though, our actual last line of defence have been fantastic! Last night there was still times were they were able to pass thru edu and mcculloch no bother. The REAL test will be a full strength man u and Valencia! A great and extremely welcome result! Turnberry18 3,204
Edu was very good tonight. It doesn't seem that two years ago there were a few doubts about him, then we played Milan and he had a very good game and got games after that. That pass for Miller could have led to a goal, and before that nearly scores- good night's work!
Smile 26,624
Edu and mcculloch were both awful. They really don't offer the defence much protection at all! What an odd post, laughable considering the way we have played.
papaguy51 941
I don't think we actually have a natural holding midfielder in either McCulloch or Edu, both look to be a bit more comfortable going forward. But they'll do for now.
Orangeclement 619
Thought big mo was sluggish from the start( first 10 mins) BUT again he shone through to put in a very decent outing once more
westendblue 3
i think edu made a few mistakes and at times looked half a yard slow, but he wasn't alone in that! the decision making of our midfield is poor (when we have the ball) at times, i think they might just be surprised to have the ba' to be honest, but the more we win and control games they better they'll get. it might just be down to having played so defensively for 3 seasons and them being scared to commit going forward in case they get robbed and we concede because of it? Hoody 103
Edu always looks like he's gonna lose the ball but 90% of the time he gets the pass off. I really like him and I think he offers something to the team but he needs to up his game in terms of his control and passing
AGM_72 4,065
I thought he was pretty decent last night, I'd agree with the 7/10 TG said earlier in the thread.
Smile 26,624
A few times Edu showed why he is better than mcculloch (not in this match but just as a player overall) and that was when he picked up the ball, ran with it and played some good forward passes, he also played some neat triangles with players... Edu did a job in there, musnt be easy putting in a good shift then getting droppedI didnt think McCulloch and Edu were competing against each other, Edu a long way to go to prove to be a regular starter like McCulloch. macleod1873 0
I wouldn't say he was as bad as some posters suggested. Had a decent game, few slack passes, nothing shocking
keithgersbear 3,225
Edu did all the donkey work in the middle of the park. If he didn't play, could of well got completely over runned in midfield.
