uddyblue107 0
This 'casual' chat is cringe worthy. As the original poster said complete non-story and nothing will happen. Looking forward to tomorrow. WATP
iain1712 336
I agree. Why don't these people just stand aside and let ManU run rampant in Glasgow, attacking innocent people, destroying shops, attacking Bears,...I mean, surely that's the decent thing to do ?If the cops won't protect the public by transporting them in and out of the ground under escort, then who will ?Or do you believe that they will just come here, have a laugh and then be on their merry way ?awfy sorry son I didn't realise you were employed to keep the peace in Glasgow my mistakeDickhead !!!!! iain1712 336
Why would Rangers get bad press due to folk in plain clothing fighting away from Ibrox ?you really are deluded I think. since when have the mhedia needed proof it was rangers supporters who were involved in the trouble. soon as any trouble happens the headlines will be All about rangers hooligans.Have you not been paying attention these last few years ? Cumbria_blue 51
I know nothing about the casual scene and that's how I like it. However, at least if they arrange to meet up and fight with each other it means that scarfers like me don't get hurt.

Gaz52 11,837
Considering Man Utd only have about 4 fans who actually live in Manchester, the revenge factor goes right out the window..
Gaffbear 4,104
Lads from Manchester and Liverpool were the original casuals in the late 1970's, called 'Perry Boys',5 years before any London gangs and well over a decade before the Scots got onto it, They used to go to Europe in the seventies bringing (stealing) back rare Adidas trainers which couldn't be purchased in the UK at the time. The 'Perry boy' culture went on to influence many well known bands a few years later. So Utd do have so called casuals mate, and some of them can be little nasty bastards. In the 80's and 90's some old Utd jibbers from Salford(Paul Massey} were knocking about with some well known Glasgow crims Paul Ferris and co.I think you'll find Aberdeen had the ASC as early as 1980 with Hibs and Rangers following in the season 1983/84...It was the Perry Boys and they went on thieves over Europe following Liverpool mostly...I bought my first Diadora off a Glasgow lad who followed Liverpool(aye even glory hunters back then)

Adoniram 1,919
As usual on here the OP gets lost in a torrent of abuse and deliberate sidetracking of threads.Man Utd Men in Black came to Glasgow in 2003 and battered defenceless Rangers fans in pubs and on the streets of Paisley Road West. There was very little coverage of this in the media as you would expect because it wasn't Rangers fans instigating the trouble.I witnessed it so i know what happened. Strathclyde's finest were totally unprepared for their arrival and were powerless to prevent these cowards inflicting harm on ordinary scarfers walking to the game.Plenty of us are of the mindset that NO visiting fans should ever walk up Paisley Road West to Ibrox and be allowed to assualt and intimdate fellow fans.Does that mean we engage in a fight...of course it doesn't.Does that mean we can demand better protection or enforce the powers that be to implement similar tactics deployed for our visit to Manchester...of course it does.In years gone by no fans even dared to do what this bunch of cowards did. MisterC 12,413
I think it will be different this time though as the police wont be taken by surprise this time, certainly there has been enough warning about the potential for trouble. But aye you are right, there is no way they should be allowed the freedom to attack defenceless women and kids as they did last time. Lets hope Strathclydes finest do their job this time.
