Skelf 1,153
My opinion is changing on this fight.Bradley rather bizarrely admitted he's suffering flu, which isn't in his make up at all, and just appeared down beat and his usual confident in the press conference.I don't rate Alexander that highly, but he is a good fundamental fighter. I dunno, I strongly picked Bradley before, but I'm not so sure now.Not seen the press conference yet. I rate bradley the best in the division. Plus he has expierience at 147 as well which may stand him in good stead. Alexander is a good fighter and looked good in his KO win over Urango. Bradley on points for me. Gash07 26
I'm suggesting that power punches tend to be slower than jabs. Not sure what's controversial about that. For me, Tyson's ability to throw power punches at the speed he did was unprecedented at the time.Well I'd Agree Tyson threw faster single shot power punches, but I disagree jabs are predominantly faster. The jab simply has the shortest distance to travel.

I like Devons speed and sharp jab though. On paper the styles don't suggest a great fight but I think both guys are hungry and should be aware this fight could be a springboard to much bigger things. I am looking forward to it.Last I heard they had sold under 400 tickets so far which is disastrous. Why it's in recession struck Detroit home of neither fighter is typical boxing madness. They should have had at a casino in vegas where it always sells.

KERRZO 5
Some guys dont sell tickets tho mate. Junior Witter has the prime example. He was world champ and was fighting on Froch undercards.

No seriously I think they always had intended to set the silverdome up for about 17 000. Still disastrous though.Putting all the big fights in Vegas is part of the problem I think mate. Selling out to the casinos too early doesn't allow them to build a good fan base at home.
the goal machine 7,811
I know he struggled against Kotelnik but I'm taking Alexander. Bradley's a good boxer but Devon is slightly quicker I think and seems to have a bit more power.
InnerwickBlue 16
400 tickets for a fight as big as this is madness. Some domestic fights on sky for British titles have bigger crowds than that. What an absolute embarrassment.

Skelf 1,153
Just read that laryea has told ricky burns he is gonna gut him like a pig when they meet on 12th march. Frank Warren insists he has bigger things planned for him if he gets by laryea. That may mean a fight at the brendanbeu... Then I will let rip into him.haha
Gash07 26
The big news across the pond at the mo' is that Bob Arum has taken Pacman and Cotto from HBO to rival network showtime. Interestingly, the deal with showtime which is a subscription based channel includes a tie in with it's sister network CBS, which is free to air terrestrial. The exact details are still unknown but being suggested are build up programs and possibly delayed broadcasts of the fights themselves.I think this a great idea and would love to see boxing of some sort back on council telly in the uk, even a magazine program with highlights would be good. But afraid it could scupper any plans for pac-mayweather if its not on HBO PPV. don't think it would generate the revenue needed for floyd to get in ring with pacman. Maybe wrong though. He is a disgusting businessman and human being.
InnerwickBlue 16
Yeah.People seem to blame Mayweather or Pacquiao for this fight not happening, whilst completely overlooking Arum's contribution. Arum doesn't want his most marketable asset to go into a fight he might lose, he'd rather he fought other Arum fighters and kept giving him a big slice of the pie.I wish all the promoters would gtf, or at least come together under one body governing world level pro boxing. It's people like Arum who have ruined boxing.Of all the promoters I dont mind Goldenboy too much. De La Hoya and Schaefer seem sound enough. One of the sites I was on yesterday made a good point about Shaw promotions ridiculous tendency to automatically have rematch clauses for every one of their big fights. Apparently there has already been a Bradley-Alexander rematch signed and they pointed out Dawson being forced to rematch Tarver and Johnson which took 2 years out of his career. Oscar was a boxer so he knows all about what is acceptable in promoting. Thats why khan went to golden boy. Mayweather was right after the hatton fight when he said golden boy is the future of boxing. Also think Ricky Hattons company will be biggest in Britain aswel. Maybe wrong though.Showtime has it's own ppv arm so that shouldn't be an issue, CBS is currently in 90 million homes, the advertising opportunities for such an event are clear.Floyd is however an HBO fighter, Pac is now over on a rival network this presents an extra obstacle. De la Hoya is a pretentious lying dick just like almost every other promoter, but Oscar wears fishnets which elevates him to fag status. Skelf 1,153
Bradley weighs in at 139.5 and alexander 140 right on the nose. Both fighters look in supreme condition. They also flipped the coin to see who was making their way to ring 1st. Alexander won the flip and will enter 2nd.
