I only decided to pick it, after the way you were talking about Murray with unexpected results etc.

Sure, but there were mitigating circumstances with Nadal. On top form he would have destroyed Soderling. There's no reason to think that if both competitors were on top form Murray would have won any of his finals.

Irrelevant. Murray has never turned in an unexpected result in a Grand Slam final.

He has turned in many an unexpected performance thought.

Although it's not a full bottle-job, you can't deny he has bottled it in at least 2 of the 3.

But does that not ruin the point of bottle merchants? If Celtic were on top form against Motherwell they would of beat them that day, but they didn't.

They bottled it and lost 2 goals in the last 5 minutes.

At the end of the day, he's never met a player in a Grand Slam final who wasn't better than him. Plain and simple.

Don't like Murray?

I also think your talking shite btw.

If Murray had turne up in Australia against Fed he would have won. If had turned up against Djokovic he would have won.

Bottle job and nothing to do with being less talented than his opponents

A lot people just saying shock/poor results, most of which have nothing to do with bottle but more poor performance. Newcastle in 96 and AC Milan vs Liverpool are the two big ones that come to mind for me.

Poor performances can be classed as bottling...

Teams/people have an off day, nothing to do with bottle. We've had a few that spring to mind, Kaunas for example, but we had just held our bottle several times to get to the UEFA Cup Final just months before, including in penalty shoot-outs. Would you question our bottle then ?

Yeah, but Nadal wasn't on top form because of injury, not because he didn't have the bottle to win a French Open semi-final. He'd already won plenty of finals!
