thebooler 4,509
is there any chance we can have the away bears at ibrox, lets get that place rocking.i could only listen to the game yesterday because i was at work, but the away bears once again were fantastic.I've suggested it on here before that Rangers FC should allocate ST's in such a manner.eg If you sign up for the Away CCCS, you get a ST for the Broomloan. This keeps all the away fans together. No doubt there are some who like their seat as it is, and they could be given the option of keeping their preferred seat. The UB's and the Blue Order do an excellent (and thankless!) job in trying to create an atmosphere, but this idea of mine would increase the numbers dramatically of people creating an atmosphere. thebooler 4,509
So if I was singing the sash right infront of the police a would not get the jail or thrown out? My arse its a fucking disgrace these days we dont have a clue whats banned and whats notHere's the post that Tannochside Bear put on after the fans' working group meetings with the Police mate:MEETING OF RANGERS SUPPORTERS CLUBS AND ORGANISATIONS AT IBROX STADIUM ON 24 JULY 2011.Around 100 representatives of Rangers Supporters Clubs and fans group organisations held a meeting at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday to continue their call for the self-policing initiative to eradicate sectarian and offensive singing which has proven so successful in recent times. We will continue to ask that fans eradicate all singing of The Billy Boys, references to Fenians, and FTP. Other songs which have been incorrectly challenged by some observers like The Sash and Build My Gallows, which contain no sectarian references at all, will continue to be allowed after discussions with the club, Police officials, and legal experts. Deanow 72
Why would you?The police dont have a clue, they hear the sash and think ''nothing to do with football'' and jail any harmless person. I remember a police said to me at the shame game when my scarf had ''No tims in europe'' they kept me behind she told me because I was singing no tims in europe and holding my scarf up to the celtic fans that it was up to the chief whether or not I got the jail for it or not, he asked me to name a few of my mates and if he knew of them being trouble makers I would get the jail. I just said peoples names I knew were quiet cunts and he let me off, with a wee police escort to the police station then let me go on my way (not even caring for my safety). That proves the police dont have a fucking clue.

I don't believe that the song contains any sectarian lyrics, or any that could cause any offence. There is no reason why the song should not be in our songbook. Thanks to the Volunteers.
