Scott-RFC 308
Kirk Broadfoot and Kane Hemmings both returned to training earlier this week and McCoist has revealed that Jamie Ness is stepping up his comeback too.The young midfielder has endured a terrible period with injuries but McCoist admits the news is looking more positive after Ness spent time at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall in Shropshire. The site is home to a specialist rehabilitation centre for long-term and recurring injuries and McCoist revealed that Ness has enjoyed a two week spell south of the border. He said: "Jamie's had an absolutely torrid time with injuries and he's been all over Europe and down to London to see specialists."I spoke to him this week because we'd sent him down to Lilleshall rehabilitation centre. He's been down there for a couple of weeks and he says he feels very good."He's hopefully close to kicking a ball again, although I'm loathed to say that because the lad has had so many disappointments."Any potential return for Ness would be a huge boost for McCoist, who is also hopeful that another Murray Park youngster can have an impact in the season run-in. Hope he is back injury free for pre season and fingers crossed we get to see how Jamie can perform for Rangers on a regular basis.

Creampuff 22,628
If it helped him stay fit long term, I'd rather he wasn't risked again this season. If it's what his body needs to get back to 100%, give him as long as he needs.

Scott-RFC 308
I would love to see a fully fit Jamie Ness take Steven Davis position for a couple of games
Ozblue 4,332
I personally would rather see him take the rest of the current campaign to get his fitness back before he goes into pre-season training for next season, rather than take the chance of him breaking down again.I said from the very first day I saw him on a training field that he would be a diamond for us IF he could stay injury free...unfortunately that hasn't happened at all,and I hate to say it, but if he has a recurrence of this injury on his latest comeback,I fear for his future. Amac9 2,060
Unfortunately it will only be a matter of time before he is back on the treatment table.I can see him retiring early which is a massive shame because IMO he is the best Scottish youngster to come through since Barry Ferguson. Turnberry18 3,204
Agree with what others have said about this season, getting him ready and fully fit for next season would be the best option. Boy needs time to show he can deliver consistently, think a few have a tendency to over-hype the lad, probably down to the poor standards at the moment. Easily the best potential we have, but a long way to go before he turns out to be near as good as what people hope.Nonsense in regards to Ness. He is, as someone said earlier, a 'diamond' of a player.
NorthernLights 2,526
He's looked composed and classy in every game that I've seen him play.

novosleftboot 6,308
Really do hope that next time he comes back this run of injuries is put behind him. I feel for the lad, it must be so fucking frustrating for him
