Gillete 1,338
Shows you the difference of what a manager with respect can do for the clubs transfer policy mourinho is very tight with the agent of Zlatan & that boy from Dortmund signing. Even his own agent and the clients he works with. No way would Ed Woodward be bringing in those types of players for Moyes etc

siddiqi_drinker 14,635
EPL is ruining global football, outrageous money being paid for absolutely average footballers. Need a global boycott of the EPL to bring it back down to earth, not even Europe's best league.

'Ruining football' I'd understand that claim if English teams were clearing up in Europe year after a year. With the increase in EPL money, the league has regressed relative to others (the top teams at least) - nothing has been ruined. The snowball effect of ludicrous transfer fees is having a negative effect and ruining the game, certainly not having a positive effect. EPL is the world's most over rated product. Stupid transfer fees that smaller countries / clubs cannot afford, ridiculous wage structures which can put clubs out of business. Your right about the English transfer market. Your getting average players going for anywhere between 10-20 million and getting over inflated wages wages. Joleon Lescott for 22 million to Man City means other teams with shite defenders think they can start commanding the same. Bony 28 million, Rodwell and also Millers. I suppose you could say Man City have a lot to answer for in this.
james_85 659
Also the amount of money Liverpool have paid Southampton for their players over the last 3 years as well is a joke

The English fawn over him purely because he has half decent technicial ability and that's not something you see from too many Englsih centre halves. As an actual defender he's shown very little to suggest he's worth anything like the fees touted for him IMO.

I suppose you could say Man City have a lot to answer for in this. Chelsea started it back when Abramovich initially took over. Paying way over they top in transfer fees and wages because they were a (relatively) unknown club compared to the traditional 'big' clubs in England. That was the blueprint for Man City. The Mailman 330
Man Utd reportedly ready to pay 100m for Pogba, letting him leave for penny's and buying him back at that price surely has to be the worst piece of transfer buiseness ever.
