United have treated Berbatov like shite, he's still a decent player.

How? He never really preformed in the big games for United, and only had one good season for them. His laid back playing style doesn't really suit the current United side.

Would it not make sense for Man U to offer Berbatov to Dormund in exchange for Lewandowski? Rather than pay however much for Lewandowski, and then have the effort to ship Berbatov out

Why would Dortmund agree to that ? Berbatov is on ridiculous wages and wouldn't suit their style of play at all . That would be a good deal for them bastards united , but Dortmund should just hold out for as much money as possible if they're resigned to losing one of the top young strikers in Europe .

I actually meant to put that in and had forgotten! Not saying its a great deal for Dortmund but Berbatov was prolific in Germany at Leverkusen, and they are looking to replace him with Dzeko so they'd have to spend mega money on transfer fee and wages anyway.

Just thought it'd be worth a shout from Man U to at least try it, rather than spend big again!

Think Dzeko might be off to Bayern though.

Arsenal are close to completing a deal to sign Montpellier striker and France international Olivier Giroud for £12m.

The Gunners are expected to confirm the 25-year-old's arrival this week.

It is understood that manager Arsene Wenger intends to play him alongside fellow new signing Lukas Podolski and Robin van Persie in a front three.

The 6ft 3ins forward, who was an unused substitute in France's 1-1 Euro 2012 draw with England, scored 21 goals in his club's run to the Ligue 1 title.

Hope he doesnt turn out to be another Chamak...

Not 100% sure. They could certainly ask the question if Silva favoured the EPL.

I'd have thought so.

Although Paris is a much bigger draw than Manchester but in terms of league the EPL is head and shoulds above them.

They did beat Chelsea to the signing of Pastore a few seasons ago so they certainly are offering some serious money to the players.

For sure. Will be interesting to see if he does sign.

Lavezzi and Silva would be two fantastic signings, Silva especially.

It was ridiculous they didn’t win the title with their current squad and if they get those lads in and fail to win it I will be astonished.
