norgerpd 280
I'm genuinely astonished at the reaction to this. Are we fucking Neanderthals?I think people are just glad to see a little bit of resistance being put up by Bears against the never-ending onslaught to tarnish our name.I agree it should be done in a productive way,if possible. PaulReid 184
You fuck up, you fucking idiot. The guy who was arrested ended up having a heart-to-heart with a policeman in the corner of the stand before being lead away. Blatantly, the arrest was justified.Anti-social, silly, wee boys. Stick together? Aye, let's remain united by, in a group of ten, pull a guy form police arrest. It's unbelievable and they're an embarrassment to our football club. You don't even know why he was arrested. Your making yourself look more thick every post.

WeirFleckNRothen 1,789
You don't even know why he was arrested. Your making yourself look more thick every post.Of course I don't, he was 50 yards from me. However, what I did see was the guy having a long, sit-down conversation in the corner of the stand with a policeman before leaving under arrest in acceptance. Also, if we're going to introduce intelligence, it's "thicker", not "more thick". RFCstuart 317
Sadly the majority of the people involved will probably get the police banging on the door in the early hours of the morning a number of weeks from now
j1mgg 3,766
2 guys were escorted out by police a little later once it had all fizzled out.It won't look good for our club and will be made to look even worse than it was by the papers. There was also no need for some of the folk to run down stairs just for confrontation with the police. Tontospal 1,116
Interesting how the ones who break the law and sing songs (for example) want the club to back them and think we should all stick together, but when the club ask them not to sing those songs decide the solidarity is only one way.We have sung the songs for years and are now not to sing them because the petted lip brigade at state aid fc got all righteous and were offended by a word they are happy to align to in their own songs.TBB means the same to me today as it did 30 odd years ago when I first sung it. The club and support should have put up more of a fight for a song that was our anthem and envied the world over instead of capitulating to our enemies. The same cunts that allowed, and indeed supported, the song to be banned are the same cunts that are responsible for the worst damage ever done to our reputation and worst punishments the club has received thanks to their reckless financial mismanagement and self interest (Murray and Bain)

Ger_onimo 20,488
Are you actually as stupid as you sound? Is there something wrong with your brain which fails to engage? It isn't good to see our fans engage in anarchist behaviour. All that does is get the club into bother. The halfwits among some of our fans are a waste of space. Anyone who condones their behaviour is an idiot.Given that we don't have the facts on this, that's got to be the most self-loathing, sanctimonious, condescending posts I've ever read on here. Fucking dreadful.

bluebear1971 54
I was near where this happened - the boy that the police tried to lift was not in the Union Bears section but the next section from them, sometimes they are easy targets from our own fans.Although i'm not defending the fans who tried to get involved in stopping the boy getting lifted but it was a bit heavy handed by the police sending in so many people up to lift 1 guy, it was always going to provoke a reaction. Is there a need to have about 20 police/stewards watching and filming the Union Bears the whole game? yet Livingston fans had a 'singing group' and never had extra poilce watching or filming them,

AllyDawson72 213
For me sticking together is while walking through places like Aberdeen and Edinburgh and defending each other while been attacked. In recent years I've witnessed Man U fans take over our bars as well as Aberdeen casuals walk through our support spitting and snarling while not so much of a punch thrown.By all accounts the boy was lifted for sectarian language and TBB was sung in force today. We KNOW its banned yet some still persist in defying and the end result is its only the club that gets punished.Times have changed wether we like it or not and the scum across the city are equally unhappy about these new laws. It's not a case of us getting singled out.I wasn't there but we need to start playing smart we have enough problems on the park and off it without having to deal with unnecessary fines.
