I don't understand how these events are anything other than cheering on the people who put their lives on the line for us. I don't see how it's sectarian or anti catholic at all. This is what makes the Haggerty remarks both offensive and pathetic. This is why we should not be condemned for hosting armed forces day, but rather the other support should be questioning why they cannot honour the contributions and sacrifices made- instead of feeling the need to play cheap political shots.
