WHY the instinct is to handle the ball, I don't know. If you can't reach the ball without your hands, tough, and if they happen to score, regroup.In short, he's fucking lucky, and they scored anyway. Imagine if he had got sent off AND they scored.In short most footballers dont have the brains or the luxury of time to think it through like you have, they quite simply choose option 1, stop the play.
