Puts in a shift every game and has been denied a few stonewallers already this season. Never gives a defender and inch and chases lost causes. Maybe not an out and out striker as he has missed a few decent chances but hes scored 9 and the one today was really really good so maybe he is working on it more.

25 goals I think easily

Took his goal well today, love him a wee bit.

Yeah, it was a quality finish and the exciting thing is he can only improve as he gets to know his team mates that wee bit better and what MW wants and expects from him in the weeks and months ahead.

Also, 9 goals at this stage in the season is a more than reasonable tally and it would appear that most on RM feel he can top 20 goals at least before the season ends in May.

(tu) takes a fantastic penalty. Not that he's not a finisher, just doesn't spend enough time in the box.

He missed 3 good chances last week & one early on today.

What surprises me is that his general play is excellent (bit below par today, but he scored in open play to compensate), but he seems (generally) to snatch at his chances.

Compare that to how he takes his penalties, which could be stressful situations, yet he shows a real composure with these!

It's what I said earlier in this thread, he doesn't seem to have that natural penalty box instinct that great strikers have. If he did he'd being playing at a higher level than the Scottish 2nd tier as he's a very decent all round forward apart from that.

Exactly.

Be nice if he could add the goals on top of his general play.

Would make us a hell of a lot more backable!

Thought he was really very poor today. Could have been totally different had he bagged that early chance. Not the only one, but his passing was so bad. Strikers and confidence go hand in hand. If he'd got early one he probably would have went on to bag a hat trick, we would have won 7-0 and 90% of bears would have won on Rangers -4 !!!

Still finish off with 30+ this season!
