That is a great penalty. Made his mind up where to hit it after the feint when Neuer looked to be going to the left but still managed to hit it true and crisp enough to beat Neuer when he actually dived the other way.

 

Again, Neuer, what a keeper. He didn't commit to the dive until the ball was struck. Most keepers would have been away the left before the ball was struck.

Aye and naw. Walter was a massive fan of Italian football and playing that style took us all the way to a European cup final. Right now I'm enjoying the Dutch and Spanish style of football we're playing under Warbuton.

A mix of the two would probably be best but right now I want to see how far the attacking possession football we play will take us.

Didn't say I was impressed. Having your first choice penalty taker in a major championship finals within a team like Italy who hasn't taken a penalty during a club match ever is incredible IMO. Surely there's more experienced penalty takers on the pitch?
