The bheasts are to make a major announcement at 1430 today, it's possibly that their plans for the hotel/restaurant/museum have passed planning.(I'm guessing)

Meanwhile we have an EH CIC that does or doesn't involve EH, nobody is sure because the local landlord is keeping the detail secret.

We are a fucking shambles.

We are miles behind when it comes to the off field part of the club, some by our own making and some because the mhanks have had a helping hand for years from the powers that be in Glasgow.

Sadly we don't look like we are even on the starting block of closing that gap.

It should be the club keeping the fans informed. The Louden owners have absolutely fuck all to do with the club other than they're supporters.

Why don't they bulldoze EH and make it a Disabled Car Park? Then, when we ARE in a better financial position, we could have a completely new build on the ground with a museum and cafe style souvenir shop?

No alcohol, and open all day to anyone.

Make money from it.

There is a carpark both front and back at EH that doesn't get used and given the problems in the local area with parking the club don't use this to their advantage and earn money for it which seems bizarre.

The problem with refurbishing EH or knocking it down and rebuilding is nothing more than cost, It would also have to be profitable which wouldn't happen open only once a fortnight.

Why would it need to be open one a fortnight mate? A museum, cafe, interactive games, souvenir shop, maybe intertwined with the stadium tours and the founders trail?

The money making ideas are endless mate, and the club should be utilising it, rather than leasing it out or selling it.

Confirmed. 4 year contract for Brenda :sarcasm:

Cards on the table from them that they want 10 in a row.

Can't wait till the transfer window when we'll show them that we'll take them on head-on.

Or maybe not.

"Going for better than 3rd or Pedro gets sacked" campaign looming.

It's a situation where nobody knows what would happen until we made our minds up what the club decided to do with it.

Demand is the most important word,The huge costs of refurbishing it,running costs and other overheads without knowing how successful it would be on a regular basis is key to it getting off the ground.

It could be a huge success or a major drain on the club and we don't have cash to throw away.

At present there isn't a waiting list or huge demand for tours of Ibrox, There are loads of pubs in the area and hotels along with leisure facility's and places to eat, They would all be the competition and we would have to offer something to entice people to come and use our facility's, One way would be to combine all the local facility's into one building under the one roof.

It also has to be something that everyone would use and not just football fans, The flip side also is that there would be people who would refuse to use it simply because it's owned by Rangers.

You only have to look at the wee Rangers club that sits closed and only opens at weekends due to nothing more than lack of demand midweek.

EH doesn't also have to be fully refurbished all in the one go, There are several floors and it's a huge building inside,One floor at a time could be refurbed and if demand outstripped that,Then refurb the floor above and so on.

Going back a far few years when it was the Rangers supporters club, At weekends it was very busy but midweek it was empty, On non match days the Ibrox area is like a ghost town and most of the area is run down.

I would transfer all our day to day business from Argyle house and superstore to a refurbed EH,Move our ticket office into the superstore,One of the upper floors could easily house a lot of the historical items we have in storage along with a nice smallish cafeteria and if i had my own way and the cash, A new museum would contain a copy of every cup we have ever won which would be a sight to behold.

One of the other upper floors could be refurbed to a nice level and made into a conference suite which could also be hired out, It could also be used to house all the dinner dances the supporters clubs have every year, All the awards night and all the Rangers charity nights/dinners/dances.. That means every penny earned goes to the club and the fans happy that their well earned is helping the club rather than give it elsewhere.

Both you and me know there are plenty of ideas and some very decent ones for EH, But someone has to make the move and do something with it, Whether that's the Marshalls or the club it makes no difference, The most important thing is doing something with it and doing it right and being a success.

People won't go there if its the Marshalls. That's already been seen on various forums, etc.

The club need to do something with it, or just leave it until they can do something.

Isn't the Louden Tavern full when it's open? :headscratch:

Forums only speak for a small percentage of our support, Vast majority of our support don't use forums, Pretty sure if it was done properly it would be full on every match day.

I don't think the Marshalls will lose sleep over a few people on the internet having a dislike for them and even if they had a part to play in EH,Based on the transformation from the stadium bar to what it is now, They don't do things on the cheap, None of them have done any harm to me and the Louden is a superb Rangers pub/bar and can only imagine if they had any part in EH it would be the same quality and high standard.

King has no interest and stays out of the picture. In fear no doubt of attracting too much attention and with his MO and whatever the fuck he is up to.

He remains focussed on securing his nest egg for that family trust of his by whatever means. He works in the shadows, hatching his plot and having his minions do his bidding. He gives not one fuck for this club or the fans, that is very clear, but yet there are still many will not have a word said against him or his hired help.

I don't know who or what the fuck we are anymore, or where we are going. What I do know, it wont a good place with this mendacious character at the helm.
