East Enclosure Row N 2,861
From facebook;........................ Johnny has been moved from hospital into a home where he is settling in. He remains in our thoughts and all good wishes are with Mrs Hubbard and the family. I know everyone's kindness and messages of support along with the many cards & gifts he got during his time in hospital was much appreciated by the family. Johnny has also received a letter from Sir Alex Ferguson. Fergie phoned to enquire after him too.

Hope he recovers well and meets a few good bears in his new place.

hammer time 653
Seen him a few times speaking to the badge sellers near the statue looking very old and frail then walking very slowly to the main entrance, always thought it shocking the club couldn't help him more or treat him better in that respect i.e. a car to the front door or escorted in by a staff member, may be completely wrong though

I am sure Rangers are well aware of one of our favourite sons situation and will be offering him whatever support is required, as above a nice humble touch from Alex Ferguson (would he have been at Ibrox at the same time?) As you say may be Mr Hubbard's choice just thought it would be good of the club to do this, certainly anytime I saw him out the front of the main stand he seemed more than happy to speak to any supporter who wanted a word with him, bet he can tell some fantastic stories about his time of Ibrox

Wee Johnny was a very independent minded man whenever I have met him. I offered to run him home from an Ibrox event but he wouldn't hear of it. He eventually let me drop him off at the bus station in the city centre and that was only after I insisted. A lovely man and loves The Rangers. Oh and Alex Ferguson was not a player at Ibrox at the same time as wee Johnny.

LOL153 No Surrender!!! 1,810
The picture that has been up of him is class, I know this thread is about the man himself and his health and how he is keeping, but any older pictures i see of our players with the tie and just the style and the red white and blue it makes me think about just tradition and standards. Good luck to Mr Hubbard and may he have many a more days ahead of him.
delparlane 5,753
The embodiment of what a Rangers player should be and the kind of gent that makes you proud to be a Rangers supporter. All the very best to you Mr. Hubbard.
