Helicopter Sundae 6,099
Marseille vs Rangers One goal away from a European Cup Final. Still cannot get over the fact it is now a quarter of a century ago....nor for that matter all that has happened in the years since.
Thewhitesettler 2,711
We should've, could've, won the trophy that year! TEFTONG
SIRB_72 4,067
It's a strange year this one because it's a season of should've, would've, could've in terms of games we dropped points in. Though it's fittingly weird how it has fallen on three anniversaries of potentially great moments for the club where we just fell short: as you say 25 years since that original CL campaign, 20 years from the failed 10iar season & 10 years since Manchester. Deanzmeanzheinz 4,312
Could we have? Perhaps, but we would have needed some luck against a great AC Milan team in the final too. That team though never ever knew when it was beaten. Some great legends in their prime. Goram, Brown, Gough, Ferguson, McCall, Steven, McCoist and Hateley. Goram always maintains if that team had Brian Laudrup in it they could have won it - I agree with that. Durrant also was awesome at that time, one of the most remarkable things was this was during the time of the 3 foreigner rule. Its also weird that once those higher standard of non Scottish players like Gazza and Laudrup were here, we couldn't do anywhere as well An absolute pleasure to be watching Rangers at this time, we played with grit, determination, skill and flair

Jimfanciesthedude 24,770
Given how good we had been all season, it was absolutely devastating the home game against cska, we could have played all night and not scored, one of they games,
Popular Post RS4_wul 4,132
Was there that night, went on the Kinning Park bus.......25 years ago today, that's a scary thought FFS. Met the late, great Bobby Shearer at the game, still got his autograph. For all you young pups that's what we'd ask for when we met a Rangers player back in the day......before selfies Old git Loyal. That season will live with me for the rest of my days, 45 game unbeaten run (45 consecutive games, not just counting the ones we didn't get pumped in like that mob across the city Baw hair from champions league final and winning the treble at the piggery. Happy days Courtyard Bear, CoopsLaud, gj923 and 2 others

Blue_Devil 350
Just watched the first half. 1-0 to the French but we were coming more and more into it. Will be watching the second half later, I have a feeling we can nick something here.....
murzo 7,447
Just watched the first 1min 35s and with Jim White in the studio was Ray Wilkins and Davie Cooper. Sad knowing that both are no longer with us. Both had more talent than our current squad combined. CoopsLaud and 40delboy40

Think that Milan team were better than Marseille tbh. Van Basten in his prime against us would be some battle.
