stevemac 5,001
What's the deal with him? Last season he was solid and dependable, doesnt seem to have had a sniff at all this season.
RFC55 108,934
He's nowhere near as good as those playing. Why when we are playing so we'll do people pine for players not playing?

stewaj3 1,446
He played last season because Barisic hadn't settled into the side. Flanagan had made mistakes and didn't offer an attacking threat. Wallace had many issues on field and it seems off the park with the board. Halliday came in and I think he was probably out best left back over the course of last season.... However He is the worst choice of the 3 quality wise. Flanagan is a much better defender, unfortunately, he's right footed, but he's an able deputy imo. Barisic should be first pick from now on in. He seems to have found his feet, looks much better defensively and should make the position his own. Halliday should go at the end of the season, with 55 under his belt. He's done a job at times, but he's just not good enough to stay any longer.
MisterC 12,271
Just not good enough but he has served us well on the whole and has shown great character by bouncing back from adversity in the past. As long as the regular players playing where he would play are playing as well as they are , he won't be in the team. I'm sure he will get game time here and there between now and the end of the season, but then it would be time to move on for his own career.
ForeverAndEver 71,498
No place with Barisic doing well, fairly obvious tbh

The boy will have a massive role in the dressing room.and he's an important player to have in their. However he's not much use to us the now when we are flying and the better players in front of him.are performing to the levels we know they can

gogzy 31,195
We have better all over the park. Can't question his work ethic or the offer he puts in, but who does he replace? Backup to the backups right now.

Theres better players than him playing at a good level so long may that continue

In all honesty he shouldn’t have made enough appearances for this to happen. I get he is one of us, but if we are inna title race I expect the squad to be improved in January and that will make his chances slimmer again. DrLaudrup 4,606
There’s no issue. He remains a good squad player and a positive influence around the dressing room. His versatility is useful but if other players are in form he won’t play.
East Enclosure Row N 2,823
We need to have a small core of Scottish home grown players. They should be the nucleus of the dressing room. McGregor won't be around for ever and Jack/Arfield haven't been here that long. IMO opinion Andy Halliday is worth a lot more to this team and club than just being a bench player. Once again, we are becoming a United Nations team. No problem with that, but we need our locals in there too. Walter Smith said any Rangers squad without several Scots players would be a very bad move. Miller and Wallace are gone. Guys like Halliday are needed all day long
LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,510
I'd move him on. Not anywhere near good enough for us now. He's been a great servant and filled in when required when Barisic was struggling but he's below the level we need even as a back up option IMO. No room for sentiment just because he's one of us. JackAlex93 11,273
Good squad player is Halliday but that's all he is. Barasic looks so assured at left back now and has made that position his own.

The Euro qualifiers UFA aside, and Aberdeen first game of the season, then the end of the season he was good, the rest he was shite. Halliday was better than him.
