A nice piece in the Evening Times

Was reading this earlier at work, an interview with Tiny Gallacher who worked at the club for 50 years in numerous roles. Sad to see she is in a nursing home with dementia but still has good stories to share. We talk about legends of the club and wee Tiny certainly is one who was very much part of the fabric of the club. Well worth a read...

On another note - I read elsewhere that today is the very last issue of the Evening Times.

Tomorrow it gets rebranded the Glasgow Times and becomes a daily paper.

Shame its not the end for the rag, basically a Sellik fanzine .

If I recall they closely knew Bill Struth?

Without a doubt. Tiny retired 5 years ago or whatever and was there 50 years. Her mother and grandmother would have known the great man that's for sure

Was only ever worth buying the pink edition on a Saturday night back in the day

tinternet phones fucked that one up

Used to start coming out around 5.15 with all the results on the front page, and the rest of the paper was filled with summaries and  on the first half of the games, and seldom any reports of goals or actions  in the second half, except in a tiny little area at the back page where they mentioned "late goals", but not the result.

Think there might have been some racing or minor football reports in there too, plus next week fixtures.

That was a nice wee story to read, feel @Blue Nosed Babe could maybe offer us a lot more insight and interest  ?
