We lost after yet another balls up from our so called captain. What exactly does he do to justify being captain?! He doesn’t encourage others, he doesn’t step up when needed. Useless. theclothmonster 1,707 Posted February 29, 2020 Share Posted February 29, 2020 Probably Tav's biggest critic on here, he's usually one of the first to wilt when the game turns into a battle and he should never have been made captain. In his defence Gerrard's tactics this season have completely nullified his best attributes, it's pretty sad watching him sling early balls into a lone striker who's crowded out by a defence every game. Our biggest attacking threat last year was the link up play and overlaps from out wide, this year its side ways passing and hoof balls trying to get in behind packed defences.
