Common fallacy that he was rubbish, especially amongst those who seldom seen him play. I used to watch Jim Denny in reserve games and he was head and shoulders above the rest, just wasn't able to step up a gear to the top.

Anotherl question might be, when will Alex Ferguson and Roger Hynd get the respect they derserve ?

both pushing j.d. for the title

Nicky Law was another unfairly castigated player , the main driving force   in our rise from lower league obscurity to the top division, seldom missed a game, and top scorer ahead of Boyd and Miller in 2015-16.

Not bad, when you consider the mediocrity of the players around him.

It was Dean Sheils who was the driving force in those days. He rose above the mediocrity more than anyone and deserved a shot in the top flight with us.

Martyn Waghorn was our top scorer 2015/16 with 28 goals.  If you mean the season before then it’s hardly worth talking about.  Nicky Law was fucking shite.

So which player more deserving of respect  was better than Law in that period ?

what a belter of a goal  , you don't see many like it, wonder if i can find it online

It'll be on YouTube. The thing I remember, apart from the goal itself, was wee Bud bouncing the ball off Provan's head before his long throw to Alex Miller for the goal. What an assist.
