Am no ashamed to admit a just shed a tear there. That was really really painful to watch

Much as I cannot say that I wanted England to win............. Folk up here setting fireworks off to celebrate them losing is fucking tragic banter.

This must be the most players we've had at a tournament since Euro 96?:hmmm:

Euro 2000 we had about 5 Dutch players there

Expand

At Euro 2000 we only had 4 players in total. Tugay, GVB, Numan and Konterman (though I couldn't find what date he officially signed). De Boer didn't sign until the autumn.

Euro 96 we had 5 Scots, Gazza, Laudrup and Bo Andersen.

Just now we have McLaughlin, Patterson, Helander, Kamara and Barisic.

I can't think of any other tournament in between then where we would have more than now. Probably Scotland doing nothing for 23 years coincides with that!

Looking forward to watching the Netherlands and obviously England who have a great chance, will be a bit strange though it not being in just one country, Glasgow will be bouncing so lots to look forward to.

Hopefully Patterson gets some game time much better option than o'donnell who has gone backwards this season and offers no goal threat unlike Patterson.

Portugal could be dark horses to win it I think.

Good squad, but can't see past France right now.

England’s options for the wide positions are mental - Foden, Saka, Sterling, Sancho, Rashford, Graelish. I genuinely think they could win it.

I'm still not convinced Saka will go, can see Greenwood going instead.
