McGregor, Morelos & Kamara

A lot has been said about a lot of all the players since Sunday....McGregor nowhere near as good as last season....3 wonder saves again, Kamara....just wow, covered every blade of grass and actually tackled like a young Stuart McCall.....thats how you shut racists up.....you outplay the bastards....Morelos, more like his old self, pulling players all over the place and his link up play so much better

On a side note, thought big Bassey was immense into the bargain

Genuinely elated, if this is the start of things to come, the future is definitely bright....and orange :Gio:

They're just getting started...if this is how they are picking up after a couple of training sessions, it can only get better, surely 😊

Yeah, agree.

The system can’t be ripped apart overnight, needs to be subtle changes especially with the amount of games we have and lack of training opportunities.

Kent, Aribo in patches and slightly behind them Hagi were all excellent too.

It's no surprise when we have 7 or 8 players getting the better of their direct opponent we look decent and come out well on top.

Possibly the first game this season we've had that many play that well.

Agree, apart from Hagi, he was the worst player on the park for us. He was awful.

And Barasic was brilliant too, he looked like the old Borna. On another day Kent and Aribo could have had a couple each, Davis worked his socks off.

I thought Bassey and Barisic were superb at the back. Never seen either head the ball so often. Borna made a number of diving headers to clear the ball.

Early days but can already see GvB is going to implement and exciting style.

I might be getting a bit carried away, but the way we played in spells tonight reminded me a wee bit of the game v PSV under Advocat.

It felt like the players had their shackles removed. A lot more direct, hardly any aimless crosses flung into the box, and no tippy tappy pish trying to engineer a way into the box.

Of course, all that might change against a defensive minded SPFL team but the early signs are certainly encouraging.

They all get a reprieve after the Hibs shambles (with the exception of Aribo who worked his booty off at that game)

...as long as they keep this up and better, of course

Didn’t look lost at all just didn’t have his shooting boots on.

Would agree, there’s plenty games where our strikers have missed umpteen chances and have had barren spells but this was a new role for Aribo and on a another night he may well have had a hat trick . The pleasing thing for me was at least he was getting into the right areas to have a shot at goal 🔴🔵

Agree Bassey was excellent Goldson was also excellent bar a wee mistake at the end that could have cost us.

Not convinced I'd call it a mistake tbh. Too much time allowed for the cross and the cross angle made it much easier for the forward to attack it. Goldson was always going to be on the back foot and struggle with that ball.

We were willing to let them cross the ball in at the end by the look of it, Patterson went out to a short corner about 4 times and we let him be left 2 on 1 every time

That was frustrating. The guy they were playing it short to had a decent cross on him and we seemed to just let it keep happening

It was like they were getting mentally tired and switching off.

I agree with you didn't think Hagi played that well but had an assist for the Buffs goal and laid one on for Aribo that he should have scored, that's typical Hagi doesn't play that well but always seems to be involved in the big moments
