We need a right winger pronto. I like Wright but he's an impact player. Not a starter.

Agreed. His end product is awful. A good impact player if we need a burst of energy but tbh I think that's all we ever really expected when we signed him.

One massive thing were no talking about is GVB and his changes. No way would Gerrard have made such an attacking change sacrificing a midfielder for another attacker. Made a huge difference second half. Credit where credits due.

That’s not accurate

How so?

2nd half vs Hivs. Steven Gerrard changed system to go all out attack. Roofe came on for Kamara around 50mins. Leaving only Lundstrum in midfield.

Roofe and Morelos through the middle. With Hagi and Aribo behind, with Scott Wright wide left.

Ah ok. So you're talking about the game where Hibs were down to 10 men since before the half hour mark? The one where Gerrard never brought on a supporting striker (Roofe) until 55 minutes?

Hardly a great example bringing on a second striker against ten men almost an hour in compared to doing it at half time against 11. Gerrard was notorious for not making subs or leaving it too late. No way would he have sacrificed a midfielder for another attacker at half time. But you know that.

You said he would never have taken off a midfielder for another attacker. That was not accurate. Credit where credit is due

Arfield has been tremendous for us recently but he needs to trust the squad and rotate now and then. Bacuna should have been given that spot today.

Bacuna needs an intensive course in two touch passing before he gets another game. Just wants to dribble & very inaccurate when releasing.

I like that he is willing to try something difficult. However, losing possession easily is what will be keeping him out of the team

It was understable why he wasnt starting , but we lose a lot of our goal threat when Aribo isn't playing .

Aribo, at this moment and Morelos are only genuine goal threats.

Halfway through the season and Kent, Arfield and Hagi aren’t even in double figures between them for goals. Pitiful.

Arfield just isn’t a good technical footballer. He has a good engine and (when teams open up against us) he can get himself behind defences/into the box which is admittedly something our other midfields don’t offer.

But he’s painfully slow at moving the ball. Doesn’t have the ability to beat a man or take the ball on the turn and play a killer forward pass.

He’s better in the Gio system with just Kamara behind him. But I’d never start him alongside Lundstrum, especially with Hagi on the wing.

He’s a 6 out of 10 and it’s the weakest area of our team along with RW.

And I hate to make comparisons. But it’s the one area they are better than us. (Turnbull and Rogic have 8 goals and 8 assists between them this season).

Arfield, Davis and Lundstrum combined have 3 goals and 1 assist.

In the last 3 seasons Arfield has managed no more than 5 goals or assists in a season. And he has 2 goals and no assists this season. It’s just not a good enough return for someone who is supposedly an attacking midfielder.

It's not their job to score goals mate.

As you said yesterday was a game too far for Scotty (3 in 6 days) people writing him off are silly cunts though. Agree Bacuna should have taken his place, he’s shown enough in the cameos he’s had to merit a start.
