If anything all Hamilton has to do in response to JS is acknowledge the comments as to the recognition given and be as respectful in return it's hardly a character assassination. Jackie Stewart might be getting on in years but he is without doubt a formative and respected cog in the wheel of F1 imo it's not that he's in it to be critical he's always given opinion based on his experiences as a former driver fairly imo.
