ustained success over a good few years in preferably the English system. If not, one of the other big 5 leagues.

Think any manager who fits that category is beyond us tbh.

We have to become a club who is good at identifying managers when they are on the upward trajectory because as soon as they “make it” in one of the bigger European leagues they are beyond us financially.

Seoane is most likely going to need to go down a level from Leverkusen after getting the sack whereas Dyche will go back in at the level he left given he’s 10 years experience in the prem compared to Seoane doing 3 years at YB and 1 an a bit in Bundesliga.

The Bundesliga is a total managerial merry-go-round. Seoane could probably walk into another pretty big job in that league tomorrow.

To be clear, by 'success' I don't even mean like winning things, but just being successful in their goals. I.e. like Dyche keeping Burnley up for a sustained period and getting them promoted.

Even then though, I think this might be beyond us now.

I think you are right that we have to identify up and coming managers, but then it's always going to be an absolute gamble in who we get, which I genuinely don't think I can handle at the moment!

I just want some fucking boring consistency.

Would be surprised with the experience he’s got.

Peter Bosz and Marco Rose have bounced about from teams but they had more experience and success than Seoane does at this stage.

You have very few points due to that. You’re from the same city as them, you’ve let the SNP destroy the country, and the majority of the “staunch” songs Rangers have aren’t even related to Glasgow or Scotland.

The fact you support Rangers is literally the only redeeming quality here, so you’re on maybe 5/10.

Falkirk is on 0/10. He lost all his points by surrendering Scotland entirely by literally running away

I am just glad to have this cleared up now

Our next manager needs to be British imo unless we're planning on throwing 10s of millions around to support a foreign manager like the Dick Advocaat days. He has been the only foreign manager to bring us sucess.

Rangers and foreign managers don't work.

Racist.

Can't help but feel Knudson kinda lucked out with a one time golden generation at that club.

Gives a kinda Paul Le Guen vibe in that he would work wonders with one club in a particular set of circumstances and then fuck up as soon as he gets a big move and continue to stoat about wee jobs for the rest of his career.

If you wait for him to prove himself at another club though, he is then out of our reach.

I just really want a coach who has experience, with sustained success over a good few years in preferably the English system. If not, one of the other big 5 leagues.

Not saying I want Knutsen or not. But he’s not kicked out with a golden generation like say Leicester did when they signed Mahrez and Kante who went on to be world class players.

The Bodo players that have moved on haven’t exactly set the world alight since they left. In fact Berg who was there star player is already back.

Surely shows his style and tactics are getting the best out of his players.

I think we’ll have to reduce our expectation - the idea that we’ll get someone with a.successful track record in the top 5 leagues, unless they’re an avoid relegation/bottom of the table specialist, is pretty unrealistic.

Am I right in thinking that Dyche was good mates with Warburton? Seem to remember him bringing Burnley up a few times due to the link.

Might also work against us as Warburton would no doubt stick the boot into our board.

Both worked at Watford. Dunno if it was at the same time.

So we are now looking at the likes of pep, klopp, Zidane etc etc??
