Valance1690 3,852
Shame for him but we really cant afford another sick note. Likely be next season before he's even considered now, should be looking to cut our losses. ItaliaSyksey

Player who has played 5 games in half a season and is on a very high wage at the club, 100% aye Looked decent in the games we've seen him but we've got enough bit part players/sick notes to last a lifetime

Because he was hurt due to poor coaching methods or fitness regimes by Gio's staff, doesn't mean we should suddenly get rid 😂 No periods of absence really, before us. WilliamMunny 3,243
I wouldn't rush Lawrence at all to ensure he is back fully fit and ready for next season. Don't want him breaking down again.
Ivybank 4,596
Lawrence’s injury is nothing to do with the staff coaching, he went in to a stupid tackle in the 88th minute of a game that was won there was no need the stupid thing was gio saying he was ok after the match🤦♂️ my mate who seen him 5 mins after the game in the dressing room text me and said “ he’s fucked”

Hindsight but we really need to stop signing these players on ridiculous long term contracts, same with managers tbh. Unless it's a young player on the cheap or something who we're hoping will rise, we simply can't afford another 25/30k per week sitting on the sidelines for the vast majority of the season 1 year deals preferably, 2 max, happily offer them a new contract if/when they've proven they can actually contribute. Going forward if its going to be Feb/March now before he's even considered then you're hoping by that point we've got a few players in and a settled side, fed up of this pish of he'll be like a new signing when he finally comes back...very rarely happens. You think you'll get 28 year olds to sign 1 year deals? Genius business practice as well. Pay a transfer fee and watch them sign a pre contract elsewhere 6 months later. For a free agent like Lawrence, aye mostly definitely, no transfer fee involved, still on a decent wage till he can prove #1 he's able to contribute & #2 that he's not a flop like many who come up here. Play well, prove yourself, get a better deal. Alternative is we continue to sign these guys on 3/4 year deals and are stuck with them on wages they won't get elsewhere. You're having a nightmare here man, what player of any sort of standard is going to accept a 1 year contract when they could get the security of a 3/4/5 year deal elsewhere? If they do sign that length and do well they will be off for a free in the summer anyway.
