I expected (perhaps unrealistically) that the picture would be brighter after a load of duds left, some new blood came in and, above all, he had a full pre-season to impose his ideas and leave them in no doubt what was expected. Sadly, the patient is still in intensive care and itโs probably time to gather the family round. We are going nowhere and weโre doing it very quickly. I have always had faith in Clement and blamed the board and a shower of overpaid arseholes but, things are so bad, Iโm even beginning to wonder if Clement can turn it around. Supported the club through the scum NIAR years but never felt as pessimistic as I do now. Wish there was a positive suggestion I could throw in at this stage but I donโt have one. The years of amateurish mismanagement have taken their toll and I can honestly say that Iโve seen bowling clubs better run. Fuck knows where we go from here. Still support the Team as much as I can, which unfortunately is only in spirit, via a TV/Monitor screen, just got to hope that Clement manages to piece together a squad that will be enough to at least make Them have to do some sort of work this season domestically, and perhaps win one of the Cups to prevent yet another Them Treble. Given the situation with the Stadium that has removed our biggest advantage in European competition, I think that we have to be prepared for the worst with regards to our prospects for somehow making it through the CL qualification rounds this year. Second in the league, and one of the Cups is about as much as we can realistically hope for as it stands at the moment domestically, with a group stage, but no further ,involvement in the Europa.
