I've watched Shankland play against us with various clubs over the years and he has not been impressive in any of the games. He scored a decent header by out-jumping Yilmaz (!) in one game, but did little after that. Ok, it's difficult playing as a striker for an away team at Ibrox, but at no point did I come away from those games thinking 'this is a guy we must sign'. If we are to replace Dessers (and I now have an open mind on that - his goal tally is very decent) I don't think Shankland should be the target.

Unfortunately, Balogun has had to play alongside Souttar.

Hopefully this is the start of Goldson getting the message that he needs to go elsewhere in the summer, because if he stays here he won't be a first choice.

The only surprise is that Clement managed to improve them. That was strictly temporary though. We are now back to the real players.

Let's not have any nonsense about any of this being Clement's fault. He got this group of chokers into contention for a title that was effectively lost before he arrived. The same senior players who got the two previous managers sacked are the ones to blame, and they need chased in the summer.
