Disagree, one person over the last few years I’ll always like in all honesty. 

I’m the first to give it right to those who run us but in terms of providing the manager with players and funding then there can be no questions as to their backing.
Well over £10 million in fees this summer alone is impressive.
No excuses now, we have a team ready to go out and win something. Kent was the missing piece and one many including me thought was well beyond us.

Is it "one match" though?
Last season the high of competing at a decent standard in Europe again, somewhat papered over the cracks of what was a disappointing domestic campaign (no trophies = failure)
The start of this season has a similar feel to it already. We have played 5 games domestically and although the results have been fine until today, the performances certainly haven't. 
The only match we have looked a top side in was v the junkies, and even then it took them going down to 10 men to finally put them to bed. 
The performances need to improve majorly, or it will be groundhog day with them sauntering to 12 trophies in a row.

No consideration given to the fact that he’s still a relatively young player (and 23 is still young) who’s just made a massive step up in terms of demands and expectations at the club he plays for from where he was at.
He’s shown he’s got potential but he was always likely to have spells where he drifts in and out of games and spells where his form is inconsistent because of the demands, expectations and the step up. That’s why we have strength and depth. We can bring an Arfield back into midfield or bring in a King for a few games which isn’t a luxury we had when we had guys like Windass and Ejaria struggling for the same reason.
We’ve seen how the likes of Morelos, Katic, Tav, Kent & Jack have all improved under Gerrard and his team so how about we show a bit of patience and judge him over a bigger sample size of games before declaring him shite and not what need after a couple of poor performances?

It doesn’t have to be either “he’s a useless cunt who should be sacked” or “he’s the second coming and should stay here forever”.
It’s perfectly possible to like him, back him and believe in him, while simultaneously saying he absolutely fucked it today.
