I've followed Rangers since 1960 and this is the worst Rangers team I've ever seen.

The defence is weak, the midfield is ineffective, and the front men, when they do get service, rarely make good use of it.

And why oh why does Tavernier have to take every throw in, every corner, and every free kick?

You spend a good few years in a coma?

  2. He is absolutely dogshite. Horrific footballer.

I honestly cant believe he's managed a move here. If hes on more than £2k a week then we're being robbed. He'd look equally as good/shite if he was playing for Barrow or some EFL 2 side.

    Sell.

I don't think it's an option mate. I think it's binding that we buy him in the summer. Never heard of anything like it before tbh.

So even if he was shite we'd have to pay 'x' amount?

    Looked class.

Thought he looked poor (along with the majoirty) in and around the Benfica game.

The few weeks off has made the difference 100%.

They get slagged to fuck, and rightly so at times, but a break could/would do the Goldsons/Tav/Lundstrums the world of good.

  4. No judgement should be made on him this season.

He came in when we were out of europe, out of the title race and would likely win, if we were lucky, a cup.

Won a cup, got us top spot in our Europa campaign and pulled us back into the league (with the help of a soap dodgers fuckup I know).

However the season ends, I dont think we should be too judgemental and back him 100% into next years campaign, he's been a victim of his own success. Not to say he's without blame of the last few months failings but he shouldnt be judged on this season.

    Treble is still on....

  5. Through his time here he seems to prove himself, be a stand out, get managers/fans onside and then job done, thinks he's better than he is, becomes an arrogant fucker and standards drop.

If Raskin hadn't fucking feel off the cliff he would be fighting for his place and having to prove himself as opposed to being one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Yes there is, it was possibly the biggest decision of the season so far, at 2-0 down at HT the title race was hugely in their favour and we were long odds to get back into the game.

It was a huge call in the context of the season and needs proper scrutiny.

Did Beaton make a clear & obvious error by not giving a penalty that struck the point of an elbow of Goldson after the ball deflected only a yard or so away from him?

It's certainly not clear and obvious, even if you think it's a penalty it's still very subjective when you consider current guidance on body positions and deflections.

    It's a Penalty.

Agree or not. It's a penalty.

Also, this thread is a riddy. Sick of the Tavernier scape-goat nonsense. He's absolutely tremendous and would be a standout in any of our title winning teams over the years.

That 1st half was as bad as anything I've seen from a Rangers captain. He sets the standard and that was horrific.

    No hiding from that.

He's been a great servant to the club but he doesn't have the pace anymore to play.

Fortunately, Sterling is ready to take over.

And none of this changing the team around to play him right midfield or whatever.

    It's time.

    Sterling should be a CM.

    Offers everything.

His figures are as good as ever. If they were falling I'd understand.

That first half was an absolute embarrassment from Rangers captain.

Doesnt shirk and came out 2nd half and bag an incredible pen.

Easy saying his time is up though, he'll be very very hard to replace and we might not realise what we had until he's gone.

The nonsense is coming from yourself, he never scored a good goal, and his free hit never even tested the keeper, as for nicking the ball, If that's your barometer for a Rangers striker at home then fill yer boots.

    He was solid.

Got right amongst their best CB who's dominated many a Rangers CF.

We all know his limitations but today he was effective and ruffled their defense.
