I've never shed genuine tears for the death of someone I didn't know until today, not even for Walter maybe the shock element of Jimmy's passing or because Walter was God like in a way and above us all as 
Jimmy Bell WAS us all.

A true one off. The word legend is overused but in Jimmy's case it is very apt. 

It's fitting that players of years gone by are now telling stories of Jimmy. 
 

The suddenness has certainly played a big part IMO, as you say we knew Walter was dying, when I saw the thread this morning I assumed it was to say he was retiring at the end of the season, I was not sure what age he was at that point but thought he would be past normal retirement age.
To then read he had passed away was just hellish and I could not believe it, he seemed fine seeing him on TV on Sunday, but obviously it has been a sudden passing.
He was a one off and cannot be replaced. 

Exactly the same mate. 

Not trying to be over dramatic here, but this has got to me more than Walter. I think it's the suddenness of it all. 
Just need to look at the amount of ex players and managers posting tributes to see what a special man he was. Had the chance to say hi to him one day while he was out shopping. Felt wrong and didn't want to interrupt his time with the family, but by fuck I now wish I'd asked to shake his hand!

Absolutely horrible news, has completely flattened me today. Jimmy has been an employee of Rangers FC since I was a baby, I have grown up seeing Jimmy in the dugout and around the club. He was part of the fabric of what makes clubs like ours great

I am devastated to learn of the sad passing of my friend and colleague, Jimmy Bell. I had a special relationship, I loved being around him, both as a player and subsequently as Manager. He was a hard working, dedicated and selfless Ranger, who epitomised everything this great club stands for. He will be sorely missed by everyone at Rangers. I send my thoughts and prayers to the Bell family at this difficult time.

I think we fucked it up in January. Dialo and Ramsey in particular. Offered in the region of sweet fuck all, and the Polish lad hasn't even had a look in. Sands is the most Meh player we've ever had. 3 totally pointless signings and 1 meh. I blame Wilson for bad recruitment as much as Gio for his lack of tactics in that month alone. Gio has at least appeared to find his feet of late! Hopefully during the summer we get the quality we need.
