Not excited about that if true these types of ideas don't work in Scotland and probably never will.

give me a strong single minded organised talented manager. If that's not too much to ask.

i don't want us making these same mistakes we did with Warburton (style with fuckall substance)

Can't disagree more, mate.

It's absolutely the right way to go IMO.

Whether they can get the right people in thise positions is another matter.

And there is the problem Esky, I believe this board isnt capable of appointing the right man for DoF never mind head coach.

how can it be the right way to go? firstly thats 2 wages we will be paying, secondly, how many successful managers work under DoF?

to me it screams that we are gonna take on a completely underwhelming manager

Koeman and Pochettino at Southampton, Guardiola at City and Barca, Conte at Juve and Chelsea, Simeone at Atleti and RB Leipzig all use one.

These types of ideas don't happen in Scotland, because Scotland hasn't moved in to the modern footballing world. We are so far behind in every aspect, I'm happy our club is taking steps forward to become a modern club.

Then we will end up having seasons like this one every season then

we need to know our environment

director of footballs won't work unless funded with tens of millions like Southampton are.

for the director of football set up cost we could start up a specialist scouting department instead and have a strong manager in place left alone to do his thing

directors of football is like zonal marking - for reasons unknown to me some clubs still persist with it and get nowhere
