Sing but ‘keep it clean tonight’ email

I thought this deserved a separate post but if not can you please delete admin:

Let me begin by saying that we appreciate the support you give to the club and most especially to the team and management. The atmosphere generated at Ibrox on European nights under the lights is second to none and each and every one of you deserves credit for that.

In fact, Steven Gerrard has often mentioned the Rangers support in interviews and in general chat. It is you who make this club special and I know that you will continue to back the team in the correct manner tonight when we play Braga in the Europa League round of 32.

This has the makings of a wonderful evening and once again the supporters can help the players find that little extra which is always required in European competition. However, with UEFA and their agencies watching this first leg tie we need to be mindful of our behaviour throughout and give no one any cause to question Rangers supporters. We have shown many times already how to back the team in the correct manner and tonight provides us all with another opportunity to showcase Rangers in the best possible light.

This is a massive night for all of us connected with Rangers so let’s stand together and show again why we are the best.

Let’s raise the roof. Enjoy the match.

Yours sincerely,

Stewart Robertson

Embarrassing! Quick to jump on the fans back, yet struggles to defend the club!

This is what's called "covering your arse". When our fans inevitably sing some naughty songs that fare don't like and Uefa try and hammer us, the club can turn round and say "look, we done our bit."

Nice for Stewart Robertson to send out an email telling fans to behave.

If only he had the balls to send a email out when fans and players are getting attacked by the Scottish media.

We've already had our troubles with UEFA this season and we're one misdemeanour away from a stadium closure.  This was simply a MUST DO to demonstrate the clubs commitment to avoid "racist/sectarian chanting", and the least it will do is be offered up as mitigation should the worst happen.

How about a statement standing up for the fans and also criticising the a sfa, the refs, the press and how we are treated differently in this country.

There's been statements this season about the SFA, the press and the referees

to be fair, considering FARE's actions and with the world watching us tonight, you would have to be a colossal fucking moron to be chanting sectarian/abusive stuff on a night like tonight. sing it in the pubs, sing it after the game, sing it in your house if you want, but dont sing it in the ground.

Think most people who attend are aware of what we can sing or not sign and don’t need people preaching to them online or patronising e-mails

in all honesty, it doesn't really matter, the offended will hear what they what to hear and report accordingly.

We as a support are demonised at every opportunity and unfortunately for the time being, and the foreseeable future, were fucked no matter what
