I think we’ll get by Hearts fine and I think we’ll win the treble. How’s that sound

There’s absolutely no clear angle of whether it’s in the box or not, that’s not playing devil’s advocate

The Aberdeen goalkeeper is a complete tosser.
Not only was his attempted saves absymal but he went down injured on his own players penalty, made the young kid wait and low and behold he missed.

Honestly fucking infuriating we’re 3 behind this pish when we should be 5 in front. Hate is a strong word but fuck me I honestly hate this shower of shitebags in our club. We should have 1 hand on the title right now

I mean any decent Coach watching this can see that Scales can’t defend that back post.

Ach I think that one's slightly different. I'm not giving up on it, but I understand the sentiment. Everyone's been burned by these players before. To drop points 4 points across this week before we get right into the hardest run of fixtures naturally kills the belief of a lot of people.
You have to hope the players have some left, but there's not been much evidence of that in the last week.

Both things are true, IMO. His absence has had an impact, both as a player and simply as a left footed left back.
It's clear the structure of the team is completely fucked, but it wasn't great against Motherwell either. Replacing Ridvan with Borna who is on his way out doesn't work as he's leaving and clearly not at his best, and using Sterling there leaves us unbalanced.
All of that said, we should still have been able to see off the last two opponents.

Say it all the time but people can't call the players losers and shitebags while also saying cups don't matter.

This all day every day mate
Scotlands show piece match at the end of the season probably against the tramps, last chance to try save some face and end the season with a trophy, set down a marker for the next season by winning two of the three competitions and some fucking numptys don’t care if we don’t win it
honestly man wits that all about

Celtic are set up to have a bad season and instantly recover from it and be ready to challenge again the following season and truth be told have been since the summer they hired O'neil
We used to be too pre 2012 where even during poor seasons under mcleish and Le guen you could still comfort yourself with thinking "we will get the cunts back next season".
Now everything is a project with a 2-3 year plan which was understandable in 2016 when we first arrived but the fact we are still here in 2024 after a title win and a European final with this same attitude is alarming . They have had two what you can class as disastrous seasons in that two decades spell . The Mowbary year and the 55 season. Some hilarious and fantastic memories from both of course but reality is they were back either seriously challenging or winning the league within the next season.

I generally agree with the pressure argument but I'd disagree on low expectations being the reason they turn up in Europe.
For me, most of us inside and outside the stadium expect and demand to win at home in Europe - almost always, regardless of budgets. Away from home it might be slightly different, but I think there's just as much expectation on a European night at Ibrox as there is domestically.

The old adage is that successful teams must have a good spine; keeper, central defender, central midfielder, central striker. We certainly do not have that, no dominant striker, we have no midfield at all, central defence is all over the place. No wonder we have little belief.

Aye, that's fair. I'm just not sure across 90 minutes how much that matters. I guess it is the anxiety of how they'll be remembered/perceived for bottling the league games, as opposed to choking against Benfica. The latter is something that will be sooner forgotten.
As I said, and as I've been posting elsewhere, I agree on the fear/poor mentality point. Just think it's not true to suggest there isn't high expectation in Europe.
